...or within a mosque.Ever the diplomat.
I think he looks ill. I don't care how many tow-lines he drags his sorry butt up. It was all a show. Even his voice sounds thin and reedy.
If Hillary is on the ticket, he'll be sicker by October.

Even if Kerry is correct, i.e. assuming some homosexuality being genetic in nature, the very same may be argued concerning man's old sin nature. God created institutions, such as marriage for family, are not established to harbor sinfulness.
I've read some fairly strong arguments that the old sin nature is itself genetic in nature for all man. Even after salvation a solutio is provided for any genetic propensity to sin, namely a walk with God by faith through Christ.
Those who refuse that walk merely fall into some form of degeneracy, moral and immoral.

I found that Kerry has even flip-flopped on this issue! Here's something I posted in another thread:
He continued: "The only point I want to make to you is, I've talked to enough people some of whom fought for their country in war and I've talked to many of them who didn't discover their own sexuality until they were 35, 40 years old, and it wasn't because they made a choice, it was because they found out who they were."

If you're born gay, as he claims in the above article, would it really take you 20-25 years past the age of puberty to figure it out?

The more interesting content of the story is this: what is he, candidate for President of the United States, doing on MTV?

"If you're born gay, as he claims in the above article, would it really take you 20-25 years past the age of puberty to figure it out?"Obviously not, although if one became a pervert, it might take 20-25 years for the perversion to obviously effect the genetics of the person.
My wife noted how disgusted she was last week when she watched two older queens in Home Depot eyeballing 'young meat'. It's a sick phenomenon and I suspect American society hasn't even begun to identify how truly sick and perverted homosexual behavior promotes even more insane criminality. Be prepared for some incredibly heinous hidden criminal activity to be revealed in the coming years out of the homosexual bastions. IMHO, Homosexual behavior isn't satiated with mere sexual lust, it'll seek more insane criminal activity in its advanced stages to satiate temporary urges.

Of course there is a genetic component. There is a genetic component to just about every desire that we have - violence, child molestation, substance abuse, etc. Just because it is genetic doesn't mean that society should accept it. Overcoming and transforming base human desires that are destructive to the individual or society is part of being a human being - most of us are able to do this and still live happy and satisfying lives. Just because a tendency has a genetic component does not imply that society must therefore accept it - that is just downright silly thinking.

Nymphomania almost certainly has a genetic component. Does that mean society shouldn't punish those who are unfaithful to spouses because they're "just born that way"?

"Some people might choose, but I think that it's, it's who you are . . . People need to be able to be who they are."
Really? What about a child molester? Oh yeah, I forget the standard disclaimer..."as long as it doesn't hurt anyone." Well, how about aforementioned child molester doesn't actually molest any children (as far as we know) but only openly expresses his attraction toward young children (no one being hurt, right?) Would you Mr "inclusion" Kerry then celebrate his sexuality and his right to share sexuality with society?

"Within a mosque"? Hey, guys around here (and boy are there a lot of them) conduct most of the activities involving marriage AT THE HOME, with the main dish being served up where the new husband has just taken his new bride!
Most folks really wouldn't that sort of thing going on down at the mosque anyway!
Afterward, the bloody sheet is displayed to the throng of female guests gathered on the side of the home where the marital bed was located, and if it meets their approval the uulations may continue on for many minutes.

All the gays I personally know certainly were born that way. Including two young men I knew from babyhood.

Maybe we should listen to Mr. Kerry. He seems very positive about this issue. Maybe he was born gay and knows first-hand all about what we don't.

There is no difference governmentally in a civil union or marriage. If there were, then religious people performing the marriage would not have to be licensed by the state to perform a valid marriage.
I can start the Church of the Scott's Turf Builder, but I guarantee that if that Church is not recognized as a religion and has the proper governmental stamp of approval and IRS status, I can't perform a valid marriage on anyone.

Hanoi John and Jesse the Vice President the two war heroes would be quite the split ticket--eh?
To: Cvengr
The seed of the father (of lies) would be genetic it seems.
Sames sex marriage--liek everything they do is rooted in
fraud thus calling what they do marriage or civil union
or whatever still winnows out to the same old fraud. And we
are commanded to not be unequally yoked to such- but to be
separate.

The old "born that way " argument is so stupid. Everybody is different. I DO believe that some people may be born essentially "gay", transgenedered, whatever. Some people are born hard core straight, and then there are probably people in between who are turned gay by some insident, upbringing, or choice.
Making this a choice/no choice debate is close-minded on the part of the liberals and gays. I know the reason, they feel the NEED for their sexuality to be "born" into them so they can use the same defense/excuses as the disabled, or racial minorities.
Bah, my stepdaughter is a lesbian, but she and her partner are not the same with their sexuality. It is apparent that what drives their "preference" is different.

Your comment is convoluted at best.
To: Cvengr
I agree. and if a person has a genetic disposition towards a harmful behavior, do we as a caring society simply say that is the way they are born.
