Even if Kerry is correct, i.e. assuming some homosexuality being genetic in nature, the very same may be argued concerning man's old sin nature. God created institutions, such as marriage for family, are not established to harbor sinfulness.
I've read some fairly strong arguments that the old sin nature is itself genetic in nature for all man. Even after salvation a solutio is provided for any genetic propensity to sin, namely a walk with God by faith through Christ.
Those who refuse that walk merely fall into some form of degeneracy, moral and immoral.

The seed of the father (of lies) would be genetic it seems.
Sames sex marriage--liek everything they do is rooted in
fraud thus calling what they do marriage or civil union
or whatever still winnows out to the same old fraud. And we
are commanded to not be unequally yoked to such- but to be
separate.

I agree. and if a person has a genetic disposition towards a harmful behavior, do we as a caring society simply say that is the way they are born.

I agree with you. Many conservatives reject the notion of a "gay gene", but it's really nothing more than what you've said; a manefestation of original sin.
Some are naturally greedy, but stealing is still wrong. Some are naturally ill-tempered, but murder is still wrong.
Being born with the problem isn't a license to practice your pet vice.
