you can only love one person at a time, for Clarke that is himself
To: mass55th
You are absolutely right, IMO.
To: TomasUSMC
There were so many reasons, good and valid reasons, to go into Iraq.
The administration, IMO, should have made more of the fact that Iraq harbored and trained AQ terrorists. The public would have been even more supportive and have been largely supportive anyway.

And there's a vicious tone to this applause.
I really feel sorry for those deceived and used souls.

I can't take this anymore. Is Kean running a hearing or a pep rally! Going to the mute button.
To: cyncooper
Its a matter of politics he said.

If Kerry wins the presidency, it will go hot.

Sitting here watching this self absorbed man Clarke,I am struck not only by the fact that he hates this President, but that he is trying to tear down the whole office of the Presidency. He doesn't care one bit about what happens,so long as he comes out as the good guy.He is truely a pathetic human being in my opinion!

Wow, did he just basically say that all his dire charges in his new book boil down to "emphasis and tone," and that his August '02 defense of the Bush Admin was
not deceptive in substance?!
(Not that the press will notice.)
To: Guenevere
Get over here. :-)
This hearing is an example why you should tell your sil to BUZZ OFF!! There is no truth in a liberal's mind unless it is their version of the truth which happens to be LIES!!

C - "It's a matter of politics." (wild applause)

The families applauded when Clarke said it was not about morality, but it was about politics. Isn't their applause POLITICAL. I'm getting sick. I don't think I can watch any more of this today. Reminds me of November 2000.

If you believe Scott McClellan's White House press briefings should be kept out of public view, your wrong with your assessment of the Clarke tape. This was a press briefing much like White House press briefings held by Scott McClellan, or Senate press briefings held by any number of Reps or Dems.

But FOX didn't decide, they ASKED permission of the entity which gave the background briefing before making it public... That being the case, why would anyone including Republicans have trouble giving background briefings, since they know Fox will ask their permission before releasing it? I'm lost here..
