DEMOCRAT THIRD WAY

How desperate are Democrats around the country to win in 2004? Some state parties are actually trying to water down the competition by creating phony third parties.
In Colorado, for example, a longtime Democratic political consultant appears to be funding a drive to create a "Pro Life Party" and the "Gun Owners' Rights Party" through petition drives.
Both pro-lifers and gun owners are extremely influential in the Republican Party. "It's an old trick that isn't used very much," says a longtime GOP consultant. "Everyone out there in Colorado thinks this is going to be a tight race. These parties, had they had candidates might have peeled off GOP support."
The Democratic consultant worked for Rutt Bridges, a wealthy Democrat who was until recently the national party's choice to run for Senate. It is not known if the national party or the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee was aware of the Colorado stunt

This is in line with the RAT tactic of calling C-SPAN and talk shows claiming "I'm a Republican, but I am disappointed in George Bush...blah blah".

She's worth $700 million. I wouldn't put anything past her. She's just as slimey as Klinton, IMO.

Heck, there are so many biblically illiterate pew-sitters in this country, the National Council of Churches could run a homosexual priest on the "church party" and people might actually vote for him/her.

They will do whatever it takes to win this election. No matter how dirty, illegal or immoral. We must be on our toes, and thinking outside the box like they do! FR is one of the few voices of conservatives, and we need to be LOUD to be heard over the regular leftist media!

The democrats have tried to pull this crap before. Also in post #5, I told about the same type of stunt being pulled in Minnesota. This is nothing new, it's just something slimey. You hardly ever here about in the so called "unbiased" mainsteam news.

The Democrats clearly put their party above the country's interests.
Therefore, I can honestly question Kerry's patriotism.

Disgusting, but it doesn't surprise me. We are dealing with people who are not only professional haters, but whom also have all the moral scruples of an alley cat, perhaps less (with my apologies to all the upright felines in the world). The Dems crave power and are willing to pull every underhanded filthy trick in the book to get it.
Remember the leaked "DUI" story that appeared the weekend before the 2000 election?
Remember the despicable James Byrd ad in 2000?
Remember the attempt to disenfranchise 10,000 absentee votes of our servicemen and women in Florida in 2000?
This is just to name a very, very few. And they still lost. Look for them to pull out every stop imaginable this time--our side has to be just as tough and play their kind of hardball. That's the only kind of game these folks play; the only kind of language they understand.

I doubt that this will amount to much. Coloradans already have plenty of third party options. The Constitution party is pro-life and pro-gun, and the Libertarian party is pro-gun.
