Oops - too late: Breem was Banned already.

"So, his contemporary involvement in a group that seriously discussed an assasination plot is a fact that is too ancient to consider. That's your position?"
No,, my position is that if the plots where serious enough, with the group infiltrated by the FBI - charges would have come up a long time ago. Since the FBI found no grounds for further investigation & charges - it's a dead issue. Are you saying there is new eveidence the FBI did not have before that would now require an investigation, or even arrest?
Hmmmmmm.

Happy Valley with a student deferrment, then I drew #300 in the first draft lottery.
I drew #308 in the first lottery, and still went in.

Kerry wrote his own citation for the silver medal. His commanding officer was not available and so Kerry wrote his own citation. Why doesn't anyonw know this? He gave himself his own silver star!!!
One can rent a BILLBOARD next to a busy highway for less than $700.00 per month. (not counting art-work, which is separate, but could be done in a day with a small group of people.
I'd like to see this done in key states. If we the people have something to say, why not say it? POST IT, if you will.

Who cares? Kerry apparently does. The heart of his entire campaign has been the Viet Nam war. But even if he hadn't brought it up, we have an obligation to expose just how much of a extremist radical he is. Republican politicians certainly have to answer to organizations they were in or even spoke in front of. So will this democrat.
To: familyofman
So now you are saying that if there were no charges and it's been a long time we should ignore it?
Impressive.

That was your perogative. You went your way & I went mine (I already had 2 friends come home in body bags).

ABC is one of the networks I called last week. They really mentioned an assassination plot on television? Peter Jennings?

Although I think it is important to get to the bottom of Kerry's involvement in an assassination plot, I think it is just as important to shed light on the VVAW as a radical organization including its statements and membership. Kerry was a member of VVAW for about two years. He may be able to talk his way out of the assassination plot, but he can't disavow belonging to the VVAW. We need the media to do an in-depth story about the VVAW, which by the way, is still alive as an organization.

Basically - yes. If there had been enough eveidence to bring charges back in the 70's - they would have been brought. Since there was constant FBI surveillance of the VVAW and they didn't have "the goods" on him then - what makes you think there is more/new evidence now? It will be an issue when the charges are filed - until then it's merely speculation - "gum flapping".

It's not a story that ended "years ago," as the Kerry campaign is in ongoing contact with Scott Camil, who conceived the plot, and is planning to use him as a consultant in Florida. Thanks for posting this info. If it weren't for you and other Freepers who keep track of Kerry's flip flops and colorful history, I would be in the dark.
I live in Florida, and the Camil story has not been discussed here at all by the mainstream media.

"Are you somehow afraid of this information?"
Not at all. I'm not running for election, I was never a member of VVAW - in other words - I don't have a dog in this fight. Just seems like a dead issue to me & I'm not afraid of the dead.

It's all very clear now. Kerry was out to kill Stennis before he was able to champion the building of our Nimitz Class carriers...the ultimate big stick of American power projection! Apparently it all comes back to weakening national defense for Kerry.

Indeed, the whole organization is going to be laid bare over this. We will see what traitors did to this nation. I am sure we will hear of how prisoners were tortured while the Cong were using Kerry's words (one has already said that happened.) This could keep Kerry on the defensive for quite a while. He needs to be defined right now, and thanks to FR and the internet pushing this, he is going to be so defined.

It will be an issue when the charges are filed - until then it's merely speculation - "gum flapping". I disagree. This is an issue NOW as people are learning about it. The fact that the alphabet nets aren't covering it bigtime doesn't mean that it won't go somewhere. It is being mentioned. It has legs, and it will walk all over the country. Kerry is likely a seditious traitor, and trying to run for president.
This isn't going away. No matter how many times you say it's meaningless, it isn't. And it's going to stick.

"I am trying to figure out exactly what conservative principle familyofman believes in. "You and I both, AR...
He seems to have contempt for Zell Miller, casting him as a "DINO," as the counterpart of McCain who teamed up with the democrats to squelch our freedom of political speech in our elections. He seems to also have the same disdain for those of us who protested the disloyal, Anti-American behavior of the Dixie Chicks.
And ya gotta love his acerbic swipe at the Latino community for generally opposing "gay marriage" -- "I wonder how many gays oppose Hispanic marriage?". Yeah, and I "wonder" how many drunken drivers oppose sober driving.
Another gem: "Seems every time there is trouble in the mid-east [gas] prices go up...". Trouble in the mid-east? He no doubt refers to those occasional flare-ups that punctuate those long periods of Middle Eastern tranquility. I could be mistaken, and I'm sure FOM will correct me if I am, but I've had the distinct impression that (with occasional brief reductions, eg. during local "gas wars") the price of gas at the pump has had a steadily upward trend ever since I was a kid in the early 50s. I think it was something like 20 cents per gallon in the early 50s and is now roughly $2 per gallon. That's a ten-fold increase -- until we correct for inflation. Then the difference just zooms!
Now he's acting as defense counsel for Richard Clarke, ineffectual "terrorism czar" in the Clinton administration and demoted, disgruntled, vindictive reject from the GW Bush administration.
Whoops! Looks like FOM just picked up a new "client" for his busy law practice, specializing in the defense of liberal low-lifes. This time it's the Senate panel stackers who delayed confirmation of a "non-controversial" nominee in order to rig the judicial process concerning pending litigation before a federal court.
And ya know what, AR? That's what I came up with just randomly picking a few items from the first half-page of FOM's listed posts.
