Wish I had found your site sooner.
I was almost to the point of thinking there was no hope for real people anymore.
You've restored my faith.
Keep it up. I'm sure glad I found you.

I have never found that any poster with differing points of view which were the products of thought and presented in a civil manner was EVER mistreated by the Moderator or the vast majority of the members. I know, for I have posted differing ideas. I've been argued with, challenged, but NEVER silenced and rarely derided.
The vast majority of posters to FR are among the brightest, most well informed and well read individuals I have run into.Jim Robinson had no need to write his well defined explanation of Free Republic. Free Republic is its own defense, if it were to need one.
Keep on the Right Track!!

I'm NOT fair and balanced. The person who does not claim to be objective is self-critical and thus gives a more balanced account than the person who claims to be objective can ever do. To believe in your own objectivity would be to be wise in your own conceit. A pitfall which you, and conservative commentators generally, seek to avoid. But one into which the "objective journalist" heedlessly leaps. Thus
Free Republic is far less subjective than CBS News is.
And operating as it does without special permission of the government such as CBS requires in its scarce FCC licenses,
Free Republic is legitimate on constitutional principle
in a way that CBS News is not.

Thank you for all the blood, sweat and tears that this enterprise takes from you and your family. I am proud to participate and support FR. It has become one of my informational touchstones.

I thank you for the opportunity given to me to express my conservative beliefs, beliefs I sometimes express very strongly. I am giving you a standing ovation for your words in this statement. I can honestly say I agree with each and every word you have said here.
May God forgive us our National Sins, and put us back on the paths of righteousness. May God bless you!!!.

Wow! All my sympathies concisely expressed. I have lurked, I have posted, I have not supported with my pocketbook. I am ashamed. I shall begin to put my money where my sympathies are. My apologies. Thank you, Jim Robinson. I pray for God's best in your efforts and your life.

No... us liberals aren't running scared despite what Jimmy or Rush might say. I was here all along. Except I got censored a while back for proving a conservative wrong. Hey! That's why Jimmy censors this site in the first place! Because maybe a conservative might be proved wrong. It happens all the time. Just not on Freerepublic... thats against the rules. If you ask me that kind of makes it look like the "conservatives are running scared". Instead of debating and having an open dialouge (which in my expierience is very fun and enlightening), this site censors everything. You know, its just like Bush about becoming a "uniter, not a divider." Oh well. Thank you Semi-Free Republic.
P.S. Troll? Good one. Gotta hand it to ya. If you didn't have a career as a ultraconservative propaganda pusher, stand up comedy could be a thing to consider.

Go away you little jerk. You don't know the truth when you see it, much to your peril someday when you and your kind take power and the terrorists have free reign again. Oh, I forgot, you can "reason " with them can't you? Idiots!

Whoa there. Insults seem to be a pattern with you people.
Anyway this is my third time being kicked off the site, and I've decided to give up on this place. Jimmy, you are one crazy kid. You have your people quickly read and suppress anything you might have the slightest disagreement with. Its a wonder these people don't call you Big Brother. I was wrong about you people. Instead of just friggin debating like any normal political website would do, you people shun out the popular vote of America. How narrow-minded and self centered.
As for the random terrorist remark.... Wasn't it Reagan who supplied the Afghani people?? Correct me if I'm wrong.
As for people who are interested in public dialog, thank you for being just plain good people. Down with the censoring goons! Fight the power!
Well I'm not gonna bother this site anymore, its broken beyond repair. Oh, and being called a troll really hurts my feelings.... boo hoo. Yeah right.

Oh, I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Didn't mean "troll" as an insult. Just a matter of fact.

Nonetheless, we won't be swapping spit or taking long hot showers together. Nor will we be wasting time or pixels on your twaddle.

What the heck does that have to do with osama and Terrorism?
The Afgani's were fighting the Soviets and Saddam was fighting Iran when the US helped them both so what. The US sided with Russia and China in WWII so what does this mean? It has nothing to do terrorism today !
