Mansoor Ijaz said he was involved in more than one attempt to negotiate OBL's capture by Sudan and turn over to the Clinton Admin. The Clinton Admin declined. IIRC, there are something like 3 different times when OBL arrest was offered to the Clinton Admin.

Yeah...I was hoping Bill's guest was going to be Ijaz. Instead, he comes up with Pozner...who while also substantiating the claim, is no where near the authority that Mansour is. And this debate also had to do with Clarke's book because he apparantly dismisses the Sudan offer, as well. As Pozner said, if Clarke was unaware than the Clinton administration was more screwed up than he first thought.

Yes..I don't understand this. Both Newsmax and Hannity have the tape of CLinton admitting he didn't want to accept OBL because of legal issues. Yet, even tonite, O' is acting as if this is still some unresolved rumor. Geez, you've got several people who now confirm it. What 'O should be asking is were is the mainstream media at, by not even investigating the matter.

If memory serves, I believe Her Royal Rotundness Hillary denied they were offered Bil Laden. Course, one wouldn't expect her to admit to an offer like that.

I kept hoping FoxNews would put the video of Mansoor's comments this morning online, but so far FoxNews hasn't.
Mansoor was fuming at some Clarke's allegations. Clarke alleged that Condi Rice knew nothing about al-Qaeda, for example. Mansoor contracts that and said he, personally, met with Condi's advisor and discussed al-Qaeda, among other things.
More and more it appears that Clarke's book isn't getting much traction because the GWB people have already countered much of it.
Clarke was attempting to spin and rewrite history. It didn't work.

Check that Newsmax link a few comments up.
It has an actual audio clipping wherein Bill Clinton himself says bin Laden was offered and he, Bill Clinton, declined to accept.
[It amazes me how the left can still spin and lie, even when there are transcripts and tapes of the truth. But, if you tell a lie enough times, it appears to be the truth.]

Here is another example of Clinton's negligence in the war on terror. It is how our military was
this close to grabbing Imad Mugniyah and Slick called it off.
Source is a CBS archive.

Yeah...I listened to his replay on Rush's show and he basically called Clarke a liar and dared that he sit with him, one-on-one, and say what he's been saying. It was great.

Okay, this is what I would like to know -
Posner said Clinton knew where Bin Laden was but was he in the same place when Bush came into office? Or by the spring of 2001, was Bin Laden in hiding again?
