Hillary-friendly NBC newswoman Andrea Mitchell said Sunday that the former first lady is indeed interested in teaming up with Sen. John Kerry as his vice presidential running mate.

Dismissing the longshot prospect that Sen. John McCain might switch parties to run with Kerry, Mitchell told NBC's "Chris Matthews Show," "I think there's another long ball - Hillary."

"According to Republicans and Democrats on the Hill in the cloakrooms, she is interested in running," Mitchell insisted.

She suggested that Sen. Clinton is "doing what is necessary" right now to show proforma support for Kerry's presidential bid, but would take a much higher profile if she knew such an invitation was in the offing.

I am aware of nothing that prevents a president from appointing a member of his family to a cabinet post. There is nothing in the Constitution to prevent it.

This article is a lie. Hillary wants the VP slot just long enough for Kerry to be forced to resign from the campaign. What she wants is a very short campaign where there there would not be time to dig up the dirt on her.

Unfortunately for the clintons, the roughest part of the campaign woll be the upcoming battle over whether clinton had an effective anti-terror policy.
