What are you referring to?

It's a law, passed shortly after LBJ was re-elected in 1964.

No family member of the president may occupy a cabinet post.

Thank you for the reference. I do not believe it would stand constitutional muster if ever challenged. Do you know the name of this law?

No problem. That just means the House as well as the Senate would have to confirm the candidate (by repealing the inconvenient law).
