What these two "Patriotic" Americans' sign says:
Support the Only Position with Successful Historical Precedent
Call for the Mutiny of U.S. FORCES in Iraq as in Vietnam!
U.S. Regime withdrew from Vietnam in 1975 only after
Mutiny in Ranks: Mass Shootings of Officers by Enlisted Men
and Refusal of Recruits to Even Get on Troop Ships! Mutiny
at an earlier date would have saved the lives of
2 Million Vietnamese and over 58 Thousand Americans!
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Culture/Society; News/Current Events; Politics/Elections; US: New York
KEYWORDS: anarchists; answer; nyc; oifanniversary; protest

This kind of sign should not be legal imo. Where is the media who are pretending these protesters were average American families and Disney characters with a sweet anti war message? This guy should have been arrested!!!

I'd love to get these idiots' e-mail addresses and send them with this photo to some of our troops overseas. Ask our brave fighting men and women to write and tell these appeasing scum how they feel about the 'Mutiny' idea.

only after Mutiny in Ranks: Mass Shootings of Officers by Enlisted Men and Refusal of Recruits to Even Get on Troop Ships! Ah, how is it that that never got reported by CBS/ABC/NBC?

Protesters are stupid. As an advertiser I know I have maybe four seconds tops to grab someone with my print ad. No one except for the already stupid would waste their time reading that mismatch of text.

Interesting that none of these horribly offensive signs were reported.

Most of the folks today were either Vietnam protester leftovers, the Youth Communist League (a real organization) or the Socialist Worker Party members.

The first thing that struck me was the unkempt, burnt-out, glassy-eyed look of those two dozy berks with the sign.
The next thing was the wording of the sign. All US troops were actually withdrawn from Viatnam by 1973. The last large combat unit (101st Airborne) left in 1971. There were no mass shootings. There were a number of individual fraggings, mostly in support units. As far as "troops refusing to get on troopships," troopships went out in the 1960s and troops came and went on airplanes.
These guys hit the weed (or judging from their apparently deficient dentition, the meth) too hard.
O gaze on the Kerry campaign, and wonder.

Oh, yeah.. of those 2 million Vietnamese? About 1 million were armed enemy combatants. About half a million were armed ARVN combatants. About 20,000 were civilians killed, almost always by accident, by US or ARVN forces. The remainder were civilians killed by Communist forces.
Sources: various, but principally Gunter Lewy's America in Vietnam and RJ Rummel's Democide website.

at the risk of being banned for appearing to advocate violence I must ask: why did no one give these two hippies a nice dose of wood-shampoo?
