Does anyone know how far Fereydunkenar is from Teheran? What are the chances of any of the other cities even hearing about this? I don't know what the distance is between these cities. I do know that word of mouth is pretty swift. This wasn't an act of spontaneous combustion, imo...

Great news! God bless the Freedom Fighters of Iran!

IT has been long in the works- the good Iranian people are sick of it!

I will be praying for their sucess.

What bothers me is that they pushed them back into town and have them hemmed in. It could end up a blood bath if the rest of Iran doesn't come to their aid.

Add Libya to the mix. The presence of the United States and the coalition must encourage these brave young people that freedom is close at hand for their country.

You are so right!

Thankfully, however Mohammar (sp?) was busy sh!tting bricks and has, in the process of his bodily functions has come to the realization that terrorism does not pay!

I'm old enough to remember the Hungarian uprising. Rebellions can fail, but not forever. It took Eastern Europe more than thirty years after the first uprisings were crushed by Soviet tanks. It will happen.

You mean we might have to wait 30 years? I'm too old, I'll never make it. I want to see these people free.

Bump for Iranians throwing off the yoke of tyranny. These people have been enslaved too long.

So do I, but we don't always get what we want. Sometimes the older generation just has to die of old age before you get real change.

I hope they achieve freedom soon, with as few casualties as possible! God be with them!

Ok - way to pronounce is this.. Az - is not pronounced like english word "as" but rather pronounced as "Oz" ex: Wizard of "Oz" the next A is like the Ahh sound from Oz... Like when the doctors okay - say Ahhhhhh So (Oz)Ah and then di is like "(de)ed" it's the De sound in the english word "deed" hope that helps

Azadi

More persian lessons later! :)

You're absolutely right and this is what many of us are banking on - nevertheless, there will be definitely some who do - they will not stay and fight for a bunch of tyrnats.. Likely the much of the army will eventually defect..

Someone asked about the word getting to the rest of the country, and I'd like to know the answer to that too. If this is picked up on shortwave or more internet sites, will people in Iran know soon enough to help?

Well - the thing is, the mentality in Fereydunkenar is the same MENTALITY and FEELING throughout all of Iran - so yah, sure others hear about it because of course SATELITE STATIONS from California beam info back to all iranians who have Satelite TV - but nehow - the Irnaian population is on the verge of exploding.. this week will be very telling.. Watch closely.. You see, Chahar Shanbe Suri and New Year are very important time for Iranians and Persian Pride - this has nothing to do with Islam/Arabs or the bloody mullahs.. the mullahs are goign to try to repress celebration and street gatyherings and riots - but they won't.. I'm watchinf for a possible

massive revolution...
