TWO WITNESSES COULD END KERRY PRESIDENTIAL RUN -- "The Phoenix Project"

THOMAS LIPSCOMB STORY

Reporter Thomas Lipscomb wrote the story which is linked above in the NY SUN. It has the potential to end the Kerry presdential run.

I had a great conversation with Lipscomb a short while ago. This story was too hot for some of the majors. But Lipscomb assured me it is well-sourced and is dead on.

Two witnesses have placed John Kerry at a Kansas City meeting of the hierarchy of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War in November of 1971. At that meeting, they actually took a vote about assassinating United States senators. It was called "The Phoenix Project" and was the brainchild of Scott Camil. Kerry spokesman David Wade has denied Kerry was at the meeting.

The two witnesses who place Kerry at the meeting are Terry Du-Bose and Randy Barnes. What is very interesting is that Barnes is a big Kerry supporter and the head of Missouri Vets for Kerry. As a supporter, Barnes would certainly not make up a story that would hurt his candidate. He told Lipscomb of Kerry's attendance at the meeting.

Think of the implications. If the mainsteam media and major news networks do their homework, they may discover that a man who wants to be president was at a meeting discussing the possiblity of assassinating United States senators. That is a conspiracy. Instead of the White House, does John Forbes Kerry belong in the Big House?

Get on the phone to newsrooms and shame them into covering this story. A major mainsteam journalist returned by email in about a half hour after I sent him info. He finds it "interesting." Let's see if pursues it. He is notable enough, that if he does the story, all hell will break loose in the presidential campaign.

Note: Lipscomb is not a right-wing ideologue. He did a recent story defending Kerry over his medals. He also recently did a story in which he went after George Bush's National Guard service. He told me that he expected to find a drunken rich kid with coke up his nose. Instead, he discovered that Bush actually did more than make up the meetings he had missed and he honorably fulfilled his duty. And Terry McAuliffe knows it.

*bump*

This would be one of many centerpieces in a "JFK's Peace Activism" story. At the least, it'll keep him off-balance, even though the facts are 30 years old.

Let the reporters start asking questions. It is time to put Kerry on the defensive. He should open the records and prove he was not there. Any mention of this is going to show how crazy the organization was. It will taint him badly. Hey, Terry McAwful, get ready to put some ice on it.

I want Kerry to get the nomination. I do not want the " Wicked Witch" to be brought out and dusted off at the Convention.

Don't for a minute think that the DEM candidate for president can't change after the convention. There are NO absolute rules.

"And Terry McAuliffe knows it"

So does everyone else in the dnc.....which is why the liberal pressholes willfully ignore the truth and toe the line, braying jackasses that they are.

One can only hope that this gets as far as FoxNews, but it's a thin hope.

You're trying to be funny here, right? This story will get the same airplay as clinton's trips to the Soviet Union or algore's college failures.

There was a thread on this but I can't seem to find it.

AMENDMENT XIV

Passed by Congress June 13, 1866. Ratified July 9, 1868.

Section 3.

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

If Kerry was there, he had an obligation to inform the authorities that a potential crime may take place. This may now be the second time that Kerry admitted to/or was part of, a criminal act.

Depends on how he voted at the meeting, I suppose.

And therein lies the "rub". If you don't nail these politicians down with a story they can't wriggle out of, it's pretty much useless in Presidential politics! (with all respect to you doug. You've done some impressive homework, and it clearly is another GOOD example of how much Kerry flip flops, and probably a good example of how quick he is to lie). But from the source mentioned in this article,

But according to the current head of Missouri Veterans for Kerry, Randy Barnes, Mr. Kerry, who was then 27,was at the meeting, voted against the plot, and then orally resigned from the organization.

Again, there's how J.F.Kerry is gonna get out of this. The fact that he originally lied about being at the meeting will be swept under the spun rug, as he'll admit to being there, but simply say as Barnes says that he voted against the plan, and promptly quit.

It won't matter to his supporters that he lied about being there in the first place. They'll just apologize for him by saying, "Oh, he has a lot on his mind, and just forgot about being there. Besides, also, John's such a good guy that he probably thought, 'there's no way I could be part of such a thing'".

Bottom line, an interesting tale, and really shows to those with a CLEAR mind what a shmuck he is, but for his supporters, since it's not 100%....etc.

GOOD job though doug, don't get me wrong. Keep up the good work.

As I said a friend during a lunchtime conversation, we must hold our fire until Sen. Heinz is technically nominated or we will end up facing somebody else who's not such a target rich environment.

That clause relates to Congress, and the ability to serve in Congress. It says that Congress can seat the Representative or Senator if the issue comes up.

In short, this is a non-starter. Politically, Kerry will be damaged by his presidential run. He'll be outed as loopy.

The moral bankruptcy of the left becomes stunningly obvious with the bolded sentence.

In a pluralistic society such as ours, you don't vote on the idea of political assassination. You place the a$$hole proposing it under citizen's arrest and call the police!

I just read on another post a few moments ago that Kerry did just that, i.e., he voted "No" to the proposal, then resigned from the organization. Now, whether or not this is true is another question.
