"Jimmy Boyle, former president of the Uniformed Firefighters Association, spearheaded the letter, signed by 22 people who lost loved ones _ mostly firefighters _ in the Trade Center attacks." " Boyle, who said he will be voting for a Republican president for the first time in November, said he decided to ask other families to sign the letter after hearing that the president was being criticized for using Sept. 11 images in campaign ads."
Atta boy Jimmy. Welcome to the unofficial association of New York Irishmen who have seen the light.

This is awesome. But, I won't hold my breath waiting for it to show up anywhere that has high visibility. :-(

It only took about two and a half years for a collective amnesia to overtake part of our population. The families of those who were sacrificed to the events of 9/11 have been treated with increasing shabbiness by the "reformers" of current opinion, first by dissing their very real grief and loss, then by suggesting that perhaps President Bush "overreacted" by going after the networks and infrastructure of the Islamofascists, first in Afghanistan, then in Iraq. But this strategic offensive by the US has had a most salubrious effect on most of the rest of the world of Islam, and while they still do not love us unreservedly, they certainly respond with alacricy when certain casual inquiries are made, as in the case of Libya. Even Iran seems not so truculent, especially since France is now about half-way on board. (France may be the next Muslim country we will have to tackle.) North Korea, even though it is not a Muslim country, is a tougher nut to crack, but our confrontation with them is no longer unilateral.

I believe I heard somewhere, can't remember where, that W's camp had given the RATS heads up on the content of the Ads that were going to be aired on Thursday! WHY OH WHY do the pubs always fail to keep their damn mouths SHUT! You don't show the enemy your war plans before you hit, NEVER!! It's time to play dirty! I hope the pubs have learned their lesson!! :(

Thanks Pokey. Glad to see the firefighters support the President.

It is pretty clear that the DNC had these political "victims" rounded up and ready to respond months ago knowing full well that President Bush would somehow use his remarkable leadership during the 911 disaster in his re-election campaign.
The DNC and its minions are s sick bunch who deserve nothing less than brutal defeat (again..).
