It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.

Welcome to TGIF at the Finest!   We hope you've been having as much fun as we have with our essays and/or spotlight on various FReepers. From the beginning, we've been kicking back on Saturdays and Sundays and simply reviewing the features of the week; our weekend threads now start on Friday and continue through Sunday. In Baltimore city where Liberals abide.
I do know how to stem this Democratic tide!
I smile and simply say; “Y’all have a great day!”
The notion of how I should be is really appalling to me!

You know of my Conservative bent.
I’m a Republican resident.
I have a small pin I wear on my coat.
I really need to gloat.

Whenever I’m asked how I’ll vote.
I point at my pin and say with a grin
“GWB is who I want!”
I cringe when I see someone for Kerry.
I just think how sorry they’ll be.

I cannot see what they see in
this French-looking man.
I just can’t understand what’s his appeal.
He can’t be a serious deal.

I walk down the street and think how sweet.
If I could just make them all see.
Do you remember the eleventh of September?
I do and it chills me to see.

That all seems forgotten.

I won’t forget how I felt that day!
The fear and the anger and sense of betrayal.
Kerry says he’ll stop this war
and say, “I’m sorry” to OBL.

Oh, Nuts! I cry!
We can’t let this go by!
I’m afraid of what would happen if Kerry wins,
Guess I’ll update my passport then.

But then I think, I cannot leave this land I love!
No French-looking Massachusetts liberal will ever make me do that!
I’ll just pray to God in heaven above.
That this November, George will win it big!

I’ll walk down the liberal street
and smile at everyone I meet.
I’ll wear my pin and say with a grin.

Huge dittoes ((((Billie))))). In fact, I have a *story* to share, especially for (((((Lady))))):

An atheist professor at a leading university set out to prove that there is no God. He stood up on a table in front of his class and announced, "If there is a God, I am giving Him 15 minutes to knock me from this table."

Several minutes passed and nothing happened. The students began to look around at each other and murmur expectantly. Would their professor prove his point?

Finally, just before the 15 minutes were up, a marine came forward from the rear of the class, walked right up to the professor and, with a mighty swing, knocked the professor off the table and onto the floor.

The professor looked up at the marine, rubbing his jaw and shouting, "Why the heck did you do that?"

The marine calmly looked down at him and replied, "God was busy with more important things, so He sent me to do the job!"
