The Dems should really stop taking so many groups for granted that they are used to.

"If the race is razor tight the way we now imagine it to be then this kind of shift, if it happens, could have profound consequences," said David Twersky of the nonpartisan American Jewish Congress (search).
What kind of mixed metaphor is "razor tight"?
And since when did those crafty, world-dominating Jooz need electoral politics to navigate their ship-o'dah-state, a/k/a the Zionist Occupation Gov'hment, known to those who know as ZOG?

My anecdotal reports suggest that there may be some reporting bias here.
I suspect that the Jewish support for Bush is a lot higher, even if they're not willing to say so publicly.

That is a good question. I'm thinking greater than those above 30. Is that what you were thinking?

Now you know why all the pundits are suddenly saying "Ohio is the new Florida this year." They know that President Bush will win Florida easily.

I believe very much in the core values of the Democratic Party Maybe what USED TO BE the core values of the Democrat party. The core values now are abortion, perversion, and corruption.

The Dems should really stop taking so many groups for granted that they are used to. How any Jew in his/her right mind could be a libreal is beyond me. The Liberal Left, led by the Demoncrats are ANTI-SEMETIC! Who do they think is supporting the Palestinian murderers and calling the homicide bombers "freedom fighters?" The Demoncrats take their money and then call for their complete obliteration
The only consistent friend Isreal and Judaism has is the Conservative Right. Buncha damn ingrates!

...florida is the only state this will help in. all other states with significant jewish populations will go to Kerry anyway. You are mostly correct. However, Florida alone is enough to make this important. Other states where the Jewish vote is a possible factor::

Jewish support is arguably more important to Democrats in fund raising as it is as a voting block. As former Alabama Senator Howell Heflin explained his opposition to tort reform to his fellow Democrats by noting that "Jews, labor unions and trial lawyers" are the three main financiers of their party.

I've seen estimates that contributions from Jews make up half the total budget of the DNC.

I heard it was up to 60% awhile back.

The Jewish vote is important. Jews vote at a higher rate than most if not all other ethnic groups. And they have voted overwhelmingly for Dems in the past. If Dubya gets 30 percent of the Jewish vote -- I'm not sure what he got in '02 -- that's going to be a significant swing.

He should have at least 50%. I'm surprised the number is so low.
