Re: Federal Appeal - Adams v. Teamsters, Rendell, Lynne Abraham, et al.
Thank you for your appeal on Free Republic! After checking the mailbox today (for the first time since you posted) we were astonished to find that more than half the money needed to continue the case had been raised! To date, we have received $1221.00.
It was certainly reassuring to discover that our friends have not forgotten us. The kind words and donations were (and are) deeply appreciated.
Equally as important, we know our opponents monitor Free Republic and are following developments closely. They have, once again, been put on notice that we are not alone in this struggle and that there are individuals across the country willing to fight governmental tyranny (which is all too often aimed at conservatives).
The Teamsters, Rendell, and Abraham, et al. have done everything in their power to destroy us. Their strategy, all along, has been to wear us down both mentally and financiallythereby making it impossible for us to achieve justice in this matter.
Government administrations should never be allowed to use their political supportersin this case Teamstersas a police force to in order to physically threaten, silence, and assault political opponents.
Mayors and District Attorneysin this case Rendell and Abrahammust never be permitted to use their power to prosecute citizens they know to be innocent in order to achieve political objectives.
Thanks to the support of Free Republic (and others), Ed Rendell and Lynne Abraham failed in their attempt to have an innocent victim convicted of a crime (they knew) he did not commit. Now they must answer, civilly, for their abuse of power.
Fortunately, in America, we still have a court system that permits us to pursue justice. With your continued help, we will have our day of reckoning.

Has there been a new development in the six months since this was posted?
Let's ask the folks that may know; the latest thuggery at the Kerry rally brings it back to mind.
BTT!!!!!!
Status please. Does more need to be sent?
I don't think they need immediate assistance. I haven't heard from them for a while, so I suppose that means the legal proceedings are quiescent for the time being.
I'm not in the immediate loop for the legal process. For most things they don't need my help, and I don't want to interfere. Whenever they need me, of course, I'm there for them.
Thanks
Many thanks; please keep us appraised of anything new. Don and Teri have our prayers and what ever else we can provide.
Rhysicist, you said last post that no immediate assistance was needed, but that was a while back.
(BTW, I recall meeting you and for lunch with other FReepers at Luigi's. Think that it was fall 2000 after a post-election Saturday FReep of the Clinton White House.)
Any chance that there has been a change such that more help could/should be sent?
Also, can one check on the status of the case and see copies of court filings on a court web site? Happen to have the internet URL?
This being the Thanksgiving to Christmas season it's a great time to try to gather additional funds to fight the thugs who assaulted the Adams.
Also, do they still use their screen names? What are they?
