Re: Federal Appeal - Adams v. Teamsters, Rendell, Lynne Abraham, et al.

Thank you for your appeal on Free Republic! After checking the mailbox today (for the first time since you posted) we were astonished to find that more than half the money needed to continue the case had been raised! To date, we have received $1221.00.

It was certainly reassuring to discover that our friends have not forgotten us. The kind words and donations were (and are) deeply appreciated.

Equally as important, we know our opponents monitor Free Republic and are following developments closely. They have, once again, been put on notice that we are not alone in this struggle and that there are individuals across the country willing to fight governmental tyranny (which is all too often aimed at conservatives).

The Teamsters, Rendell, and Abraham, et al. have done everything in their power to destroy us. Their strategy, all along, has been to wear us down both mentally and financially—thereby making it impossible for us to achieve justice in this matter.

Government administrations should never be allowed to use their political supporters—in this case Teamsters—as a police force to in order to physically threaten, silence, and assault political opponents.

Mayors and District Attorneys—in this case Rendell and Abraham—must never be permitted to use their power to prosecute citizens they know to be innocent in order to achieve political objectives.

Thanks to the support of Free Republic (and others), Ed Rendell and Lynne Abraham failed in their attempt to have an innocent victim convicted of a crime (they knew) he did not commit. Now they must answer, civilly, for their abuse of power.

Fortunately, in America, we still have a court system that permits us to pursue justice. With your continued help, we will have our day of reckoning.

The Democrats believe in CHOICE

Actually no. The Democrats believe in MANDATORY. In what was once a free country, Democrats mandate that everyone who works pays into Social Security. Democrats mandate that everyone who works pays into Medicare. Democrats mandate that employers must with-hold taxes from their employees payroll and send it to the government instead of paying it to his employees. Democrats mandate the minimum wage that employers can pay their employees despite the fact that many young kids that need a job are under-educated, under-motivated, and otherwise under-skilled. Government mandated that these unfortunate kids attend governmnet operated schools where substandard education is the rule. Were it not for the minimum wage, some employers would hire and provide some training and experience for these kids that otherwise will always remain under-achievers locked into a substandard life (many ending up criminals by default) mandated by Democrats. To say Democrats believe in CHOICE is not only wrong, I find it offensive.

Hey ! The Democrats call the execution of babies in the womb 'choice'. My tagline refers to that.

The second part of my tagline - if you read that - is a play on words AGAINST DEMOCRATS !!:

... I have chosen to vote STRAIGHT TICKET GOP for years !!

Let me elaborate. A Democrat WILL NOT EVER EVER EVER GET MY VOTE.

If that wasn't clear to you, then maybe it is NOW !

I THINK we are on the same team, right? I vote STRAIGHT TICKET GOP ! And I would encourage others to do the same.

There is ONLY ONE good Democrat: One that has been voted OUT OF POWER !!

You've got to wonder how many innocents get shafted cause they ain't got the funds to defend themselves.

That goes for all people, whether conservative or liberal when they go up against someone or something with deep pockets.

Shameful.

And the something with the deepest pockets of all is the GOVERNMENT. Even worse, with the government, they are not even spending their own money. In the private sector, common sense will often prevail because even those with the deepest pockets are still spending their own money. With the government, this discipline is lost.

The best government is the least government. Vote for GWB and against Kerry.

Didn't mean to imply anything about you. I was trying to imply that Democrats don't allow choice when it comes to choosing whether you want to participate in government programs like SS or Medicare. Participation is mandatory. The word "mandatory" has little or no place in a free country. Freedom means choices. No choices; no freedom.

Gentle Activists,

GREAT NEWS! I received the following letter this morning:

March 10, 2004

To: Dr. Kevin Sterner
Fr: Don Adams, Teri Adams
Re: Federal Appeal, Adams v. Teamsters, Rendell, Abraham, et al.

With the help of Free Republic, our fight for First Amendment rights will continue. We have raised $2,672.00 to date to pay Attorneys’ costs.

We are so grateful to all who answered our recent request for assistance. Due to the immediate response, our Federal Appeal was filed in a timely manner. We still, however, face the burden of more Attorneys’ fees and costs. Any additional money received will be set aside for that purpose.

While Trey Mayfield, Esq., of the firm Gura and Day, wrote an exhaustive and compelling brief to the 3d Circuit Court of Appeals, we realize the odds of winning are not in our favor.

We are not so naïve as to think that Democrat Governor, Ed Rendell, will not, in the end, rule the day. For starters, his wife, Judge Midge Rendell, sits on that Circuit. Even if it became necessary for her to recuse herself, she could still carry sway (either wittingly or unwittingly) with other members of the bench sitting in on the case.

Mr. Rendell’s influence extends to Republican members of that Court as well. Within the past year, Rendell strongly endorsed the (successful) nomination of Pennsylvania’s former Republican Attorney General Mike Fisher for a seat on the 3rd Circuit. You may recall that Fisher ran against Rendell in one of the most “gentlemanly” campaigns in recent Pennsylvania history (2002).

It was Mayor Rendell’s administration that procured the Republican National Convention (2000) for Philadelphia--only a few weeks after we (including you) and other Clinton protesters were assaulted outside the “city of brotherly love’s” City Hall, underneath a statue of the celebrated pacifist, William Penn.

All along the way, we have faced the long arm of Rendell, both literally and figuratively. (Do you recall that during Rendell’s deposition two years ago, he raised his fist and lunged at one of the plaintiffs?)

For the reasons stated above, we are prepared to appeal this case to the U.S. Supreme Court. We know they accept very few cases, but are more likely to hear First Amendment appeals. If this step becomes necessary, we hope that you and Free Republic will remain on board.

Don and Teri, we are behind you all the way...if I have anything to say about it!
