Please pray for J.D.

Our great-grandson, J.D. will be undergoing surgery tomorrow to install a shunt in his brain to drain the cysts that occupy the right half of his brain. J.D. was born with nothing but a mass of cysts instead of healthy brain matter. Last month an MRI showed that the left side of his brain has regenerated. They believe that draining the cysts on the right side may allow the right side to regenerate. J.D. is a miracle baby already. He wasn't supposed to live. I am asking for prayers for J.D. as he goes into surgery tomorrow and prayers that his brain regenerates.

Update: We heard from our daughter at 6:00 p.m. and they were still waiting for the doctors to begin the surgery. Don't know what is delaying them.

Further update: Just received a call from our daughter. J.D. finally went into surgery at 7:30 p.m. (The hold up was an emergency brain tumor operation that came in.) He is now in recovery and doing well. The shunt is a permanent one and will grow with him. His Mom said that when he woke up he looked right at her, something he couldn't do before. She said his eyes look straighter. She said that his cry sounds different and that he reached out with his left hand, also something he couldn't do before. There is much hope that J.D. will indeed be one of God's best miracles. Thank you all for your prayers and concern. We appreciate you and love you all.

This is J.D.'s mom. Both J.D.'s father and I would like to thank everyone for there kind thoughts and prayers. I'm sure they have all helped. J.D was released from the hospital today and is doing very well. He will have his stitches taken out in 2 weeks. We are very excited to announce that the releasing nurse told us that we will see a difference in his development soon!!! This is great news since J.D. has not yet learned to roll over, crawl, sit, or stand. He just had his first b-day on the 13th, so all of these activities should have happened already. We pray for our son every night. Soon our prayers will be answered!!!

Hey girl! I just now saw your post. I'm so glad you registered. We hope you will stay around and gain an education. These are good folks here. The news sounds good so far. We have been praying that everything will come up miracles for the wee babe. I know you are tired and have probably already gone to bed.
