March 8 issue - David Catania has been one of George W. Bush's most loyal supporters. The Washington, D.C., city councilman has raised nearly $80,000 for the president's re-election. He's a Bush delegate to this summer's GOP convention and holds a seat on the platform committee, which shapes the party's official agenda. But last week Catania, like many other gay Republicans, was furious at the president's backing of a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Now he's dropping his fund-raising efforts and no longer plans to vote for Bush. "You know the concept of buyer's remorse? I've got it," he says. "I want my money back." Now Catania intends to fight the amendment on the platform committee and work against a second Bush term.

No one on the left gives a &*&&%$ for your "new tone" or your "compassion
LOL!
Well, no one on the right gives a &*&&%$ about what anyone on the left thinks anyway. The left is usually wrong.

They're way past the abomination stage. They've now graduated to the destructive agent class. This culture is dying. It's obvious. It's also happing at an accelerated rate. Rome was stable compared to western civilization.

" Tolerating an abomination is an affront to the laws of God "
" The Pharisees said pretty much the same thing to Jesus when He forgave the adulteress"
Not the same thing. You see, what the Pharisees said was THEIR opinion, what eskimo stated is GODS opinion!
Homosexuals are an abomination to GOD, therefore, they are an abomination to me.

You should be careful when trying to express God's opinion on his behalf.

Jesus told the adulteress to go and "Sin" no more.....
What would He have told her ...if she would have argued with Him about "her right" to such sin
And His intolerance for not looking the other way...
He simply saved her from a stoning....at that time...

Homosexual Agenda Ping.
Wow, the "gay" Republicans all of a sudden don't like Bush. Well, I guess all 17 of them will really cause a huge vacuum with their departure.
If anyone wants on/off this ping list!

Well the president needs not a single popular vote in all of D.C., for he can never get the three electoral votes there anyway. They made DC a state without telling me?
To: Right Wing Professor
Ooops, forgot the 23rd Amendment. Sorry.
To: Right Wing Professor
DC has three electoral votes (the same number that it would have if it were a state) under the 23rd Amendment, which was used for the first time for LBJ and HHH in 1964.

"Even Kerry says he's against gay marriage."
Well done, President Bush. Forced the enemy to run for 'cover'. According to the liberals, that position is the position of a bigot.

"As it is, it appears that the Marriage Amendment is DOA in the Congress anyway."
That is perhaps true, but that dosnt mean the amendment shouldnt be supported. Supporting FMA now is a bit like the 'preemption' policy of the Bush admin on terror threats; its less disruptive to clarify now then later. If and when federal courts open it up, it will 'hit home'. It is like the balanced budget amendment, a generally good public policy choice that some are not comfortable enshrining in the Constition unless backed into it.
The real problem are the activist judges imposing a solution against the democratic will and legislative process. The real solution is less a single amendment but a wholesale curbing of the imperialist tendencies of the judicial elites in this and other issues.

Kerry has the liberal vote already. He can take them for granted. He's trying to run as a defender of state's rights to appeal to the middle.

Correction: He is lying as a defender of state's rights to appeal to the middle.

I have four and I am proud of it. You know when I watch them and being with my wife I feel how my life is bless and complete. When I look at them I look at them as a gift from God and when I look at my wife I admire her for what she is my lovely soul mate and fruit of love are kids. After all I hope to become a grandpa :} so love I give to my kids they can give to my grandchildren.
