Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., dashes past his Secret Service detail while arriving for private meetings and fundraisers in San Francisco on Friday. If Kerry, or another Democrat, wants to defeat President Bush in Novermebr, that candidate will have to carry Pennsylvania.

Well....he pretty much is the official nominee at this point. BUT - I believe that the top-tier candidates get SS protection around the time Iowa starts. I would bet Edwards has a few agents, but doubt that Sharpton and Kuccinch are being guarded. I don't have a problem with it, and they can use it as training for younger agents or easy service for those near retirement age.
