It will be a change for him to show up for a vote.

If the GOP was smart, they would put this on the floor of the senate ASAP.

But the Senate GOP has proved worthy of the label "the Stupid Party."

Well, if the conventional public wisdom is right, then Kerry has just played right into Bush's hands.

However, despite polls showing 60+% opposition to gay marriage among the public, the same polls show a 50-50 split on a Constitutional amendment.

Good. Let Kerry and the radical left align themselves with the pedophiles and the radical gays.

Their agenda is all about recruitment and lowering the age of consent for children, all to please their own sexual desires.

Tammy Bruce outlines the radical gay and leftist agenda beautifully in her book The Death of Right and Wrong.

Tammy Bruce's book The Death of Right and Wrong is a useful book to read regarding gay marriage, the gay agenda in our public schools and the leftists who promote them.

Bruce is a lesbian and former president of the Los Angeles chapter of NOW. She has long since left NOW and condemns them AND the radical gay agenda thoroughly in her book.

It is one of the best books I've ever read and explains what is wrong with the left and the radical gays. Bruce has worked with Congress and Phyllis Schafley on these matters and is currently a commentator for FNC.

Bruce feels the radical leftists and gays have a mental disease called malignant narcissism and explains how it is rooted in trauma that never attempts recovery. These individuals, instead of seeking psychological help, are focusing on social change. In other words, they want the rest of society to mirror their own hurt and pain.

She makes a very convincing case for the fact that an entire wing of politics is invested in the victim-hood of its constituency, the leaders of which are trying to work out their demons on society.

The book is shocking and details how the radical left and gays have espoused sexualizing our children and how supposedly mainstream supporters of those efforts have stated publicly that "Sex is not harmful to children...there are many ways even the smallest of children can partake in it" (page 193). As outrageous as this sounds, it is not some fringe group of marginalized pedophiles that want this evil perpetrated to rationalize their depravity, but rather the leaders of the "special interest" groups on the Left, sponsored by their friends in the media. Well-documented facts throughout the book reveal this agenda clearly.

This is a MUST read book in order to take on the left using their own words against them.

Not really news, as Kerry has voted against traditional definition of marriage every chance he bothered to vote. Kerry is very pro-gay marriage, but is too afraid to say so publicly. Kerry will do his best to lie and try to spin it he is just against a Constitutional amendment, but that flies in the face of his past record.

On the floor of the Senate? Orrin Hatch would have to retire to a fainting couch. Can't have anything that would upset "my good friend Senator Kenendy." (TM)

Very true, but Kerry is now Pinned. He's got GWB for Amending and Nader against. Kerry must define himself or lose his base. Now that he has spoken out (through his aide) he is leaning hard left (not that he wasn't already).

Now he is really pinned, the Left will not let him move back to the center from this position. The press will have a field day with him if he does.

Leave it to Kerry to take a position to keep something vague...

You certainly can't be so young that you haven't experienced the tenure of President Bill Clinton!

Well, the issue for November has been set. Everything else... abortion, national defense, immigration, AWB, CFR, the budget, etc... will all get tossed aside since they'll each feature parts of each other's ideas. 2004 is now about the Gay Marriage Amendment.

Didn't see THAT one coming, did ya? ;^)

What does he mean by IF?

What if the bill never goes to the floor of the Senate?

It's simple. "You are either with us or against us." A point made in the Bible and usefully employed by Bush in clarifying the nature of the War on Terror.
