[history]
February 24, 2004 -- Democratic front-runner John Kerry yesterday claimed he's unfamiliar with the much-publicized gay marriages being conducted by the mayor of San Francisco, so he can't express an opinion about whether they're right or wrong.
"I haven't made any judgment about it. I haven't really kept up with exactly what he is doing," Kerry told a press conference at York College in Queens.

Whaaaaaat?! He gets away with this?
Someone needs to ask this while he's on camera. He can either kiss up to the American populace, or his core constituency. It's a no-win question for him--the best he can do is equivocate, which re-inforces his flip-slop image.
To: kattracks
He's a liar, and he's waffling because he's said he's for gay weddings.

His response shows that he doesn't want to touch this one with a 10 foot pole. Bush and Co. should seize the opportunity on this one. Especially after the 'Passion' is out for a few months. I am praying for a national revival in this country that will be sparked by this movie. I too pray for a spiritual awakening in our country. If this movie motivates Christians(the majority of the audiences) to begin to become Christians, then it may have an impact. True Christians will have an impact on those around them and ultimately their society, because the love of God lives in them and works through them.
This movie may be as you have said, 'a spark'. We can all appreciate a spark, especially during such dark days. Large fires can be started from small sparks, when all the proper elements are in place. Fire from God can be started (by God) when apparently the conditions are all wrong (see Elijah).
Our challenge as Christians is to die to ourselves so that Christ may live. Our lives, in all things, should be praising and exalting God. As His disciples we should most concerned about helping others become disciples by living 'disciplined' lives. Not lives disciplined through fear, but through an obedience born by and sustained through an eternal and holy love.
So whether this movie provides the "spark" or God himself provides a holy fire, I agree with your sincere desire to see the hearts of our nation once more filled with the passion of Jesus Christ. May it come to pass quickly and may all receive it!

If there is a heightening in religious consciousness, particularly amongst Catholics, how will they feel about voting for a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual 'Catholic?'

To paraphrase something Bob Kerrey said about Clinton......
John Kerry is an unusually BAD liar.

Kerry says he's against gay marriage but for civil unions A distinction without a difference, IMO.

No, Kerry voted for more than "ONE OF THOSE CUTS!
Where did you get that J-FK quote?
Is it on videotape or audiotape?
2-pager; give both pages time load audios and graphics and scroll down on page 2 to J-FK's 1984 Senate military weapons voting documents

"I haven't made any judgment about it. I haven't really kept up with exactly what he is doing," Kerry told a press conference at York College in Queens. Just the guy you want running the country, a guy who doesn't know whats going on. Maybe he should pick up a newspaper or turn on a radio or tv or go on the internet. Sheesh, what a cowardly liar.

Kerry is in utter denial.
There is no way this man is going to go the distance to election day.
And to all of the news media and Dems: President Bush didn't drag the gay marriage issue out as you are now insisting. The Mass Court and the Mayors of San Fran and Chicago made it an issue.
Good grief, this election is about so much more than reelecting W for the sake of national security and general sanity. I hope W wins in at least a minor landslide to send the Dems a message to get their act together, and to send a strong signal to the news media that their lies and absurd bias will not be allowed to stand.

And if this were Bush, he'd be called ignorant and stupid for not knowing what was happening. And it would be false. He would be a coward and a liar as well. But he didn't take that cowardly lying path.
