Never mind "The Passion of the Christ" will likely prove a hit, Mel taking a hit from Hollywood types.
One tells the New York Daily News he's all but a marked man. Directors will avoid him. And one goes so far as to say audiences will move on from him. No more "Lethal Weapon" sequels. No more "Signs."

Matthew 5:10-12 (NKJV) Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 "Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

I don't think Mr Gibson will have to worry.
My wife and I have both agreed that we want to see this movie.. in a theater. We haven't been in one for 4-5 years, but we feel that this film is worth the money and the time to go see rather than wait for it to "come around" to rental.
Hollywierd can go stuff themselves.

The only thing Hollywood respects is money. This movie is going to make a pile of it.
Mel Gibson isn't going to have to worry about getting someone to finance or distribute any movie he wants to make ever again.

I'll bet my bottom dollar that those Hollywood whores will realize the success of this movie and try to duplicate it over and over and over again.
I don't know how successful they'll be however.

I have not seen a movie for about 10 years in a movie theater, but I think that I will go and see this one.
And I sort of get the idea, that Satan does not like Mel Gibson.

Mel Gibson isn't going to have to worry about getting someone to finance or distribute any movie he wants to make ever again. So right. As long as his movies make money he will find plenty of people to finance them and plenty of actors to act in them.

I don't understand the decision to have the actors speak a language none of us understand and use subtitles.
I hate movies with subtitles and avoid them like the plague. I'm not sure I'll make an exception in this case.

"Now they're threatening Mel Gibson."
One could see this coming.
Mel will rise above it, he has the success and resources to make his own movies the way he wants. The box office money will follow him.

Mel has done so many popular movies it is hard to imagine he would be cast out for one, especially if it has boxoffice success. He might end up owning Hollywood instead.

Hollywierd can go stuff themselves. We all know Hollywood is nothing but the sum of its bank balances.
Mel's film is about to make hundreds of millions of dollars, not to mention the global take. And then there's all the residuals....too numerous to mention.
Once money hungry Hollywood starts counting up the huge audiences, and potential ticket sales, similar films are going to be rolling off the back lots like a tidal wave.

"The Passion II, The Sequal?"
Close, Passion II, The Resurrection
Or Passion II, Revelations, that would really kick Hollyweird in the a$$.

What Hollywood (and the rest of the mainstream media) doesn't seem to realize is that their panning of the movie only helps its cause. Those who plan to see this movie are the same people who consistently avoid most of Hollywood's trash.

Religion remains a sensitive issue with people and most true believers now understand they straddle a fine line between evangelism on the one side and tolerance on the other.
This is a movie, not a call-to-arms; some would have you believe otherwise.
