[history]
State Attorney General Bill Lockyer on Saturday rebuffed Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's demand that he force an end to San Francisco's same-sex marriages, calling the directive political rhetoric.
"The governor can direct the Highway Patrol. He can direct the next 'Terminator 4' movie if he chooses. But he can't direct the attorney general in the way he's attempted to do," Lockyer said, adding that Schwarzenegger's written directive "was a statement designed for consumption at the Republican convention."

I think the greatest FReep of all would be for us to show up with animals and insist on being married.

There was at least one article on FR in the last couple of days about the judge being homosexual. He had a name that looked Navajo, and he looked Indian (American style) in a photo.
The sick thing is that judges in CA must recuse themselves from any case involving homosexuals if they are members of the notorious homophobic Boy Scouts of America. Everyone should be aware of this.
A homosexual judge can preside over momentous cases such as this "gay" marriage crap, but a judge who is a member of BSA must not. In fact, they tried to fire all the judges in CA who were members of the BSA, but watered it down to recusal.
Anyone interested in nice 5 acres near the CA/OR border? Freepmail me, I'm serious.

Yes, Prop 22 was enacted by the voters of the state of California. It states that marriage is solely to be between one man and one woman.
