It's A Matter of Justice..
VANITY ^ | 2-21-04 | Ms12Gauge

EVERYONE! I have been a member of a yahoo discussion group for quite some time now, called A Matter of Justice. These people are working very hard to bring about some control and balance in the Judiciary. Particularly the Supreme Court. WE all agree that there has to be some accountability, that immunities have to be eradicated, that the legislature has to have a better balance of power with the Judicial Branch. WE all agree that this is a monumental task, and that it is going to require a huge group of very dedicated people to have any real impact on the powers of DC.

I just finished telling Jacob, the moderator of AMOJ, that the most dedicated group of people I have ever seen get behind an issue are FREEPERS. I am posting this to ask your ideas, thoughts, beliefs.

We have been talking about trying to put together some sort of a serious showing in DC possibly in September. We would like to bring a huge crowd of voters to DC to let the political movers and shakers know that we are MOST interested in the protection of the constitution, and that we will vote according to our faith in the foundations and dedication of the candidates. As far as we are concerned, this is probably the one most urgent issue we face. Every day, more of our precious freedoms go by the way side, on the whim of a vote that is completely unfounded on the Constitution. We believe we MUST get back to the strict reliance on the Constitutional principles if we are going to leave a free country to our children and grand children.

PLEASE take a few minutes to think it over, and then tell me what you believe the chances might be of carrying on a regular forum of discussion, ideas, information, and even some help for the legal struggles we all find ourselves in. And most of all, let us know what you believe the chances would be of gathering a REAL RALLY to DC in early Sept. A half hearted Rally would only harm our cause. We would need to amass a huge group, some hi profile speakers, and some truly active activists to demand, before the US Courthouse, that WE be given back the reins of this country, and that OUR rule of law, the consitution, be returned to the Supreme law of this land. Can we do this???

Please keep bumping this thread, and give it a chance to gather input. IF you are interested in seeing what we have been doing on the yahoo group, check out the website. www.amatterofjustice.org. Thanks for taking the time to hear me out. Christine in Colorado

Count me in on a discussion of ideas. To examine putting together a rally, you probably should talk to some of the FReepers in the D.C. chapter. They are the pros at doing that.

Personally, I would not be able to make a trip to D.C. this fall, but I would with pleasure be able to go to the nearest Federal Courthouse (the home of the Ninth Circus, no less) for a rally to coincide with a large rally in D.C. Having local protests as well may help bring out more people and gain more coverage because local media would pick up the rallies.

Just my two cents.

I read your post but have no idea what you are talking about.

Maybe I flatter myself but I think I do. They're essentially harking back to the old -- an unlamented IMHO - days of the Jefferson admin. and his war on an independent judiciary. You know how it is, "There's nothing new under the sun."

As far as the post itself, I believe passion for the subject, not any bubbleheadness on the part of the writer that is the reason for the rather soaring nature of the post.

In addition, your post may attract more attention with a more descriptive title ("Stop judicial tyranny," "rein in the out-of-control judges" are a couple of examples). An admin moderator can help you alter the title, if you like.

I saw no bubbleheadedness at all. Sometimes, as you say in the "passion" of the moment, a poster gets a little ahead of the readers. Most of us here do not have the history or knowledge she does with this activism organization. She needs to start at square one with us. Treat us like new born babies...heheh.

I have a com, a client in my Child Protection advocacy work, who is in Montague, CA, do you know that area? She has been absolutely shredded ILLEGALLY, with JUDGES telling her she has to do things that are outrageously beyond the scope of their power, CPS agents who disregard the laws as if they just don't have to worry about those.. The corruption is frightening. The local DA is a guy named Pete Knoll, and he is being recalled, for some truly amazing legal warps. This Mom is about to be permanently separated from her 3 kids, totally because she is an activist, and would not shut up and sit down when the officials told her to. She could use some local support.

A Matter of Justice is the name of a web site and an activist group who are huge, and very knowledgeable, and dedicated to returning us to the rule of Constitutional law, as opposed to the ever escalating trend to rule from the bench. The head of the problem, if you don't mind the pun, is the Supreme Court. The pervasive belief amongst the liberal minds, and nearly every judge, is that they are the elite, infinitely more qualified to guide and monitor our lives than we are, that voters just don't "understand" what they voted for, when the vote doesn't coincide with their opinion of what should be, the practice of replacing parental authority with the rule of the state. Those are a few instances of the "slippery slope" we are fast sliding down.

A Matter of Justice is an established and well known Judicial Accountability Group. They are working to gather all of the smaller efforts around the country into one master group. So far, that effort is going very well. What we would like is to bring a forum, a discussion if you will, to FREE REPUBLIC, with the idea that there are thousands of people here with experiences in dealing with activist judges, corrupt courts, and know first hand how far we have drifted from the days of Jefferson.

My question was... Is there an interest on Free Republic to take up this issue and possibly to help gather a showing in DC in Sept? Are there people amongst you who are interested enough to dig in and help to bring some accountability, maybe some repeal of immunities which have been placed to obstruct the scrutiny and punishment of judges who violate the oath they took? I am seeking to gather a sizeable group.

If I was unclear, it could be because I had been up for two days when I jumped in and posted that mess. We held a Conference on this issue today in Denver. The turn out was great, and we drew three members of the Judicial Performance Commission. The information we learned about how to gain some redress for the destruction a bad judge can cause was priceless. We intend to keep working to gather a strong voice in Colorado, but all of us are aware that the NATIONAL effort will be the one needed to truly make any changes happen. My question is: Can I count on Freepers for help to do this??

A RADIO ROOM ALUMNI??? {{{{{{{{{{KHURKRIS!}}}}}}}}}} Please stay and help me convince these formidable FREEPERS to help me build a consortium of opinion on this issue? Maybe I have the burden of passion, but I also have the past two years under my belt, watching child after child destroyed, and in three cases KILLED by the judicial system empowered to protect them from abuse. They were killed BY the foster care system.

We have to stop judges who do not uphold the LAW. And who are making law of their own, in total disregard for the system of legislative process we the people have dictated shall be ours. We really need to make this a HUGE noise, this is an election year. Thanks for bumping the thread, I was off in Denver, preaching to the choir. *grin*

Thanks for the bump! In answer to whomever it was who alluded to my web site, here is a short story for you.. You read my story of the ongoing saga of my court battle. Maybe you realized from that story how absolute the civil rights abuses have been. I have been a member of this site, FREEPER since 1998. I lurked quite a while before I joined.

In addition, I have been a political activist for far FAR longer. I am 51 yrs old. I carried my first sign in a "sit in" rally in down town Denver when I was 15. The lead speaker in that rally was a very stupid woman named Jane Fonda. I was 15 and stupid too. I thought she walked on water. I learned better later. *grin*

I was there for the TREASON is the REASON rally in DC and later for a Second Amendment Rally. I have carried signs, ridden motorcycles down the Capitol Bldg steps in protest of helmet laws, you name it, I was there.

I have never fought for anything that I honestly believe was more vital and urgent than this one. I came to it through the Child Protection system. But it didn't take long to realize that Child Protection is only one small closet in a nation full of nasty and well kept secrets and buddy systems. And the Constitution is the enemy #1 that they all work in concert to destroy.

As a little kid, I remember hearing Nikita Kruschev(sp?)say that If he could have one generation of our children, he could take over America without firing a shot. I never forgot that, and am telling you, it is almost done. The generation of kids coming of age now has no clue about their rights, how government works, that they have a DUTY to take an active part in that operation. Passionate? God I hope so! I hope apathy never comes to smother me.

Thanks for the indulgences, all of you.

One more thing. If any of you happen to be interested in it, the continuing saga of our court battle is posted, documents and all, on a web site called www.profane-justice.org,

Where the county CPS case left off, our Federal 1983 suit begins. We sued for the civil rights violations, in US District Court. The documents and background of that suit are all posted on the Profane Justice site. If you go to the site, scroll down the left menu, to SHELL vs DHS, you will be taken to the outline. Suzanne Shell the owner of that site, is our "partner in crime". She also wrote the book, Profane Justice, which is excellent reading for anyone who has a child or grand child. This is absolutely NOT reserved for the poor. Trust me. Please help me find people who are willing to keep up an ongoing forum on FREEP on this Judicial Tyranny issue? Thanks.
