A Prayer for Another Tiny Baby

Well everyone, I'm back with an urgent prayer request for yet another tiny baby. I don't know what the outcome of this will be, our Lord knows, and only He can handle this situation.
My niece Ann and her husband Mike were married this past September and became pregnant on their honeymoon. They found out last Tuesday during a doctor's check-up that something was not right with the pregnancy. She went in the next day for an ultra sound and found out the baby is severely physically handicapped. He has a disease that will not enable him to live out of the womb.
The doctors gave them the choice to abort the pregnancy, but they could NOT do it. Ann said she could NOT stop a beating heart.
Ann and Mike named their precious baby Matthew Paul. He's almost 23 weeks "old". The little guy is moving around in the womb, his Mommy can feel him. She may or may not be able to carry this pregnancy to term...this is all in the Lord's hand.
The bottom line here is one of three things....Matthew will NOT make it to term, or he WILL make it to term but still not live, OR our God will heal him in the womb. We've all heard of cases where the doctors HAVE BEEN WRONG, urging an unnecessary abortion. I don't have an answer ... none of us do. I DO KNOW that God is an AWESOME GOD and is able to use this baby and his parents in a mighty way.
My friends, we prayed for another baby and look how that turned out. I beg you to pray for Ann, Mike and Matthew.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you again, on our knees begging you to heal a baby whose chances are mighty slim. Lord, we KNOW that You're the Great Physician and can heal whomever You wish. We also know, and acknowledge, that Your "yes" is not always OUR "yes". Please Lord, give Ann and Mike the spiritual, physical and emotional strength to go through with the remainder of this pregnancy. Lord, please give every health care provider YOUR wisdom. Please let Your words be their words. Please let Your decisions be theirs. And Lord, if it's Your will that Matthew not spend time with his parents here on earth, we thank you for that, too. We know that he will see YOUR face, he'll stand before YOUR throne, and for that we thank you. In Jesus' Holy Name, Amen.

How heartbreaking! God bless the parents for their courage. May He grant them peace and comfort and perhaps a miracle for the baby.

My oldest son is named Matthew.
This young couple will be blessed for trusting the Lord and not men.

My friend's sister was pregnant with her third baby a couple of years ago. Ultrasound showed severe hydrocephalous. Of course, doctors recommended an abortion, but this couple were Christians and never entertained the idea. Anyway, emails were sent out, prayer chains were notified, their church prayed with and for them.
Anyway, a week later they went for another ultrasound and the doctors were amazed. A perfectly normal brain size. No trace of hydrocephalous. If you put the two pictures side by side, even a layman could see the difference. Their baby was born perfectly normal. God can and does move in these instances. Praying that he does here.

May God grant a miracle and heal little Matthew, and may God give your niece and her husband the strength and resolve needed to see them through this time. Regards, Peach

Oh, BG, my husband and read this last night with a sinking feeling because I am 23 weeks along with our little one. But we agreed that anything is possible (I went back and looked at the Logan thread right afterwards), and we will be keeping this family in our prayers.
Please keep us updated on their progress :(

What a beautiful story, Siouxz! A baby so awesomely healed in the womb gives us courage to pray unceasingly for Matthew Paul.
Ann said she could NOT stop a beating heart.
So staunch, so stellar, so faithful to the Lord, so MATERNAL! May God richly bless his obedient daughter and answer her prayers.

Prayers being offered. Doctors are wrong more often than you might think. The child is in God's hands.

I went back and looked at the Logan thread right afterwardsVERY good idea!!! Logan and all of the others we've been praying for ARE a testament to what this prayer group can accomplish. Our Lord DOES hear our prayers.
