Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Francisco has violated California law by Marrying Same-sex couples in San Francisco. It is patently unlawful to issue marriage certificates to same-sex couples. Section 308.5 of the California Family Code plainly defines a valid marriage as being limited to one man and one woman. Furthermore, California Penal Code section 115 prohibits the knowing procurement of any false or forged instrument to be filed or recorded in any public office, making such an act a felony punishable by up to three (3) years in prison.

The Mayor of San Francisco is giving the middle finger to the State of California and the United States as a Whole. To make it worse, Mayor Newsom and the City of San Francisco has stated that it is suing the state of California, challenging its ban on same-sex marriages on constitutional grounds. By doing so, Mayor Newsom is proposing that every law that was not a constitutional amendment is un-enforceable. If he is not arrested, there is no basis for drug laws, the carrying of concealed weapons, prostitution, and every other law that is not written into the constitution of the state of California.

Please arrest this man.

I heard this interesting theory today from someone who prefers to remain nameless. If the government can get all homosexuals to marry, presto, they have in effect registered all homosexuals. He feels that in many countries and parts of the US, open homosexuality is still very dangerous, yet these people are openly registering their preferences and their names will probably be published in the newspapers. Much of the information in these newspapers can be obtained over the internet.
Weren't homosexuals registered in Nazi Germany?

I just saw a clip of Newsom on O'Reilly. He said that somebody tried to pull a citizen's arrest on him yesterday. Anyone hear anything on this?

No haven't heard of that, but I have heard that police are arresting people protesting gay marriages.

DUh! I live in San Francisco. If Newsom is thwarted in his attempt to make gay marriage legal, I guarantee you that DUmmies & Libs will be protesting en masse down at City Hall. Thus making Newsom a hero. Remember, they don't see gay marriage as evil. Only Conservatives do.

Are you insinuating that anyone in his position would pander to the gay community? Does this mean that you are proposing that if in his position you would? Of course he's acting with reelection in mind, every politician does, but would anyone do as he did. The answer is decisively no.

Right on Travis McGee. There are a lot more conservative mayors than liberal ones. They need to get on this bandwagon and start issuing weapons permits, among other things. What about decrees ordering police to arrest illegal immigrants, closing down abortion clinics. If they want to take it to the streets, BRING IT ON.
