The crew of SCB prides itself on timeliness, but we ain't THAT fast! LOL!
The parody was in the works yesterday, actually. Good timing, though...

The question could be asked the other way.
Why should Judge Moore be allowed to ignore a court order? He wasn't, of course, but there are many who beleive what he did was right.

"But there are many who believe what he did was right"
and
There are many who believe that the Earth is flat
And there is a significant overlap between those two sets.
To: John Beresford Tipton
How does those beleiving the Earth is flat compare to a Judge disobeying a court order?

Thanks for the post. The old adage is that a pic is worth a 1,000 words. In this case, that adage does apply.

I think that those who believe the Earth is flat are more nearly sane
than those who believe a judge should disobey a court order.
To: South40
Judges have to respect the law.
Mayors have to respect the law.

According to Moral Law, as founded in the original law of Man the Bible, One who follows the Ten Commandments of God, will be in Gods favor, and live in Eternal Light.
Those who follow the root of Sodom and Gomorah, can look forward to morphing into Pillars of Salt.
This is the standard before any other laws were written.

They're both public officials flaunting the very laws they're supposed to uphold. Let'em both fry equally.

There are many who believe the mayor of SF is right.
And there are many who believe that any who disagree with them are "flat-earthers".
And there is a significant overlap between those two sets.

Because Christians aren't part of the "Protected Peoples", and queers are.
Apparently it's ok for some to break the law, but not others.

I believe the mayor is wrong and I
also believe that the Earth is not flat.
To: OPS4
That's all fine and well but once we start accepting the breaking or ignoring of laws we are opening the doors to such things as gay marriage and lying under oath.
We can't live by just those laws we agree with; the best thing to do is change them.

I'm sorry. Your post was anything but ambiguous. I was trying to talk on the phone and respond to messages at the same time.
Lesson learned and point taken.

No problem-
" I was trying to talk on the phone and respond to messages at the same time."
The statement by LBJ about Gerald Ford has been handed down in sanitized form as:
"He could not walk and chew gum at the same time"
What he really said about Ford was:
"He could not walk and fart at the same time."
