***Ketchup Boy Only Served For FOUR MONTHS***
Stardate: 0402.17

Posted on 02/17/2004 5:59:52 AM PST by The Wizard

We know the media shills for the democrats, but it's about time some one of the VERY FEW honest media get on this point and two others:

We want to know about those famous wounds that he takes credit for......(I'm not saying I would want them, but he is making big claims about his service) but we have a right to see the records.

All my friends had to spend 12 months in Nam....why did ketchup boy only serve 4 months and then come home and fight the war and call those poor guys without deferments baby killers and war criminals

I am telling you my friends, more is coming about what really happened in kerry's war experience, and it won't be a pretty thing to see.

Funny...

From Kerry's own words, he chose Swift boats because WHEN HE APPLIED, they were independent command off-shore interdiction (Market Time ops) opertaions that had seen little action for almost 1-1/2 years.

Sure, they were in the middle of tough duty when he got there, but Kerry left early after only 18 days of action. Out of about 90 total.

We don't really know - See, Kerry has refused to release HIS records.

So we really don't know what he did.

Otehr boat operators have said they were expressively forbidden to do that. "Running around in jungles" was the phrase this other operator used.

they can't explain why Kerry did it, nor what he was trying to do assaulting a wounded VC who had already been shot and was running away.

(Your false claim is not correct, since the fighters WERE "safe" over in Nam flying high-altitude escort service for B-52 at that time.

Actually, they were used for harassing ground fire too. Eight crashes in 10 years in a combat zone does not make an unsafe plane.

Swift boat training was up the coast at Mare Island, just north of San Francisco.

Yep, Kerry was penalized with that nasty TEMDU up in the "painfully astere" Napa River Valley for 5 months for specialized training.

Didn't somebody just complain about Bush being treating with nice, "behind the lines" training duty?

Heck, Kerry didn't even have to stand watches.

Unlike the officers and men he abandoned back in the ship he had left behind in refit in Long Beach!

Didn't find Kerry's name in that link.

Go to the link and scroll up to "PCF 66" and look at the "Crew" column.

No thanks, your sources are coming up The Nation, Frank Rich, and other "progressive B type" magazines.

But my disdain for China is real and I agree they are the long term threat after the near term threat of the mullahs in Iran.

I'm just not buying that Bush Sr. had close PERSONAL TIES to Chinese Party members as you suggest.

No.

Those aircraft WERE NOT on duty for ten years in Vietnam.

Why do you think they were?

Del Monte owns the Heinz Company.

And don't forget....unless this is outdated or incorrect,....Pittsburgh-based H.J. Heinz Co. owns 75 percent of Del Monte.

But Kerry's name there doesn't make sense:

No other PCF has two officer's assigned at the same time, and this LT (William B. Hoole Jr, LT, OinC 4/68-4/69 Qui Nhon) was on the boat while Kerry was supposedly aboard.

So, did Kerry just substitute for a few days?

We know he wasn't there in October (first action was December 67) and we know he left the first week in March....

So Kerry's "record" on PCF-66 couldn't have been "stretched" or "edited" to extend from 10/68 to 04/69 ?????

So he was assigned to the same boat as another officer - who WAS aboard for a full year overlapping Kerry? When no other boats had two OIC's (officer in charge).

Could it?

And did the President choose service in the Champagne Unit of the Texas Air National Guard because it put him in harm's way, or because it was "safer" than going to Vietnam? And which one of the two, Kerry or the President, made the "safer" choice after all?

Your "point" does nothing but ultimately undercut the President, without effecting Kerry in any way whatsoever. In fact, your "point" does our re-election efforts no good at all, and like the balance of this thread, amounts to nothing more than counter-productive, juvenile sneering.

I never thought of him as a man

I know what you mean. I have three sons of my own, 18, 21, and 23. In many ways they are still boys, yet they are (supposedly) grown men. The oldest is still not settled and has an average of 3 different jobs per year.

Since you weren't there, perhaps you shouldn't criticize the service of those who were.

Look Godammit, it's not the Republicans that are chasing this military service crap, it's YOU Democrats!!!! It matters to YOU!!! I couldn't give a crap after we let Clinton in who was a Soviet operative during the war. Take your military service concerns and shove them where the sun don't shine. As far as who is acting like a soldier NOW, it's Bush, not Kerry. Kerry is a big, dumb flower child who surrendered to the North Vietnamese while sitting behind a Senate microphone.

Since my arguments have very little influence on the big picture, I'm not worried about stating my opinion here. My opinions are confined to a few threads.

The important discussion is going on in the "real world."

Speaking of the real world...
Isn't that a great speech Bush is giving now to the National Guard troops!?!

And you now claim that Bush is following in the same track? Oh I see ... when cornered you libs always say "everyone does it"!

You are going to let your love for Bush blind you to the fact that he's still a politician, and will therefore likely also sell us out to the Chinese to some extent. I doubt it'll be as blatant as Clinton, but he's getting off to a nice start with that chip making equipment.

The libs use "everyone does it" to try to get their lib off the hook for doing something wrong. I am saying both are wrong, no excuses. Or are you using "everyone does it" to say it's okay for Bush to do it because Clinton did it?
