KERRY MYSTERY WOMAN DATED CAMPAIGN FINANCE CHIEF
**Exclusive**
A woman at the center of John Kerry intrigue dated longtime Kerry Finance Director Peter Maroney, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
When pressed by media outlets in recent week, the Kerry campaign confirmed the relationship, according to top sources.
Alex Polier on Monday denied "Internet and tabloid rumors relating to me and Senator John Kerry."
Rumors swirling around Polier ignited a behind-the-scenes campaign drama.
As first reported in this space, a serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST, THE HILL and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
TIME magazine's Tim Burger and ABC NEWS have developed intriguing elements to the case, sources reveal.
She would joke that she was dating the next president of the United States, says a source.
Polier's flippant remarks and flirtatious manner, according to friends, fueled the intrigue.
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments. "This guy is going to blow up. Have you seen the NATIONAL ENQUIRER story" [on Kerry's womanizing].
The Kerry commotion is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, campaign sources said.

I don't think Drudge is backing away from the story. He is adding more pieces to the puzzle. It is really odd that the dad is quoted as saying that he was planning on voting for Kerry. Isn't that kind of a dopey thing to add if you are incensed that your family's privacy and good name has been violated for many days?

It's an inside joke among her friends. Okay, I can buy that explanation.

Why didn't Kerry just tell IMUS on Friday's show that "yeah...my campaign finance guy dated her for long time, so? It wasn't me. Someone has made a mixup. Nothing to it". It took the Kerry campaign 4 WHOLE DAYS to create a more "plausible lie" to cover this mess up. Go figure. I knew we would never know the real truth. Money talks.

1. Maybe she dated the other guy and maybe she didn't. That would not rule out her having an affair with Kerry. 2. It's likely that she didn't date the other guy at all. Democrats do lie.
Third possibility: that it was attention from Kerry that came between the other two and drove them apart, and ended the relationship, with Kerry waiting to see if he'd then have a clear shot. Or, a variation, in that while the two were still together, Kerry was interested in playing threesies.

December 31, 2003 -- WHICH silicone-enhanced celebrity has a nasty crystal-meth habit? After a glitzy party several weeks ago, she went to her favorite transsexuals' den of iniquity downtown and snorted crank all night long . . . WHICH dashing Democratic presidential candidate used to be infamous for trying to steal other guys' girlfriends? The lusty lawmaker had a habit of doggedly pursuing attractive young women after meeting them at D.C. dinner parties even if they were already spoken for. DRUDGE, Feb 16, 2004:

Hmmmm.....
Sweet! It reminds me of the Dukakis After Dark skit on Saturday Night Live, with the late Phil Hartman playing a drunken Ted Kennedy - trying to grope Kitty Dukakis. Kerry has certainly learned from Ted's example.

We'll eventually know the truth because her friends will talk. The timing of the denials and the original statement of Kerry are the key. You don't have to coordinate the truth. It would have been out Friday with everyone involved on the same page. Instead it got to fester over the weekend.

by the way, I was amused to see the AP label the family's home as a "compound," being as they're liberals. Maybe that word is no longer reserved exclusively for right wing government hating nut job wackos. The term has also been used to describe the Kennedy family properties in the Hyannisport, Massachusetts and Palm Beach, Florida.

Not to mention that the dad first called Kerry a sleazeball, and is apparently not a democrat anyway.

In high society, gays are used as beards all the time to act as cover for liasons. If this campaign finance guy is the designated fall guy, it won't bother him at all. His significant others won't be jealous of any female Kerry links him up with.
All this being said, why do I have this feeling that the gal embedded in Kenya is not the principal at all in this story. Why do I think it's someone else we don't know about yet, and that Drudge is toying with the media.
You can be Matt has his ducks in a row.

JFK's mistress, Marilyn Monroe turned to Bobby Kennedy for some bed rolling after John had her and discarded her. Note that while JFK was happy to enjoy Marilyns favours for a while, they were in no way exclusive, and he shared those of others during the same time period, likely into the double digits in numbers. While it seems unlikely that the short leash Kerry's been left on allowed him anywhere near that sort of opportunity, he may still have tried to expand his horizons in that respect to the amount possible.

...a variation, in that while the two were still together, Kerry was interested in playing threesies. Jeez, who'd bring the extra paper bags?
Actually, that was my own hunch as well, expressed less articulately somewhere up the thread a ways. It fits with the "Nastier stuff was going on..." quote attributed to Alex's friend.

My theory: it has been rumored that there are videos/photos of the two (Kerry/"intern") together. My bet is that the finance guy is in the photos too. To cover up, the finance guy and the "intern" are saying that THEY were having the affair.
To: jimbo123
Kerry is a stalker. But likely, as with much of that he does, an ineffectual, hesitant and fumbling one, who likely does not get the job done, and quickly moves onto another target of opportunity. It seems difficult to imagine him sacrificing himself or risking any of his present or future priviliged position in order to pursue a specific individual who was the object of his focused interest and passion.

Hey maybe she was the one who met Kerry secretly and injected his botox. He certainly can't let THAT out.

The less I realize I know about this whole affair the more I'm certain that Kerry blew up the Hindenburg. I doubt he has the lung capacity. And in any event, it's far more likely that Kerry sucks, er, inhales, rather than inflating anything other than his own ego.
