Statement from Mystery Woman in Kerry Affair Denying story

"For the last several days I have seen Internet and tabloid rumors relating to me and Senator John Kerry. Because these stories were false, I assumed the media would ignore them. It seems that efforts to peddle these lies continue, so I feel compelled to address them. I have never had a relationship with Senator Kerry, and the rumors in the press are completely false. Whoever is spreading these rumors and allegations does not know me, but should know the pain they have caused me and my family. I am in Kenya with my fiance visiting his family, and we ask that the press respect our privacy and leave all of us alone."

I heard Rush state some details about the allegations I had not heard before. He said the story going around was that Kerry hit on this woman and she wrote down his "cheezy" pickup lines and read them back to him.

Could this be more of an "Anita Hill" issue than a "Monica Lewinsky" issue? In such a case the woman's statement that there wasn't an affair would be accutrate.

Cheers!

I want to see the 60's boomers who have never grown up, never held to account be forced to do so now.

This is how credible the Sun (and British journalism in general) is.

RE: Drudge, Telegraph, Philly Inquirer, Sun stories...

They didn't find any of this themselves. They're being fed it from a bigger American player. Probably Time Magazine, floating the items to test whether they want to publish.

Remember, the first leak from a Clark camper mentioned the story was going to come out in Time.

Then why didn't ABC come out and say, not true. We never did an interview with that woman, Miss Polier.

"What ever happened to the blond model that was originally romantically tied to Kerry? Her picture was all over Free Republic last week."

For the hundreth time, that was not a photo of the woman in questions.

And the woman in question is only reported to have come out of K's apartment late at night when Terry was away in 1998.

My question is similar: How much was mommy willing to pay to bail out her bad boy??

Well .. the video is still out there and I would really be interested in what she had to say.

My next question is: How much will mommy be willing to spend to get rid of that video (and all copies)??

> Focussing on Kerry being reflexively against U.S. military presence in the world is a good issue.

But don't you see? The Fonda story can be weaved in as part of the greater issue you propose. The infidelity/stalker story just goes nowhere, unless a smoking gun emerges... and we know from '98 that even a stained dress won't oust a RAT.

The Sun was the SOLE source of the supposed quotes from Polier's parents calling Kerry a scumbag, wasn't it? One problem with British sources is I think people don't really have a clear idea what those sources are. A lot of outlandish Sun stuff gets posted here.

Those parental "scumbag" quotes from the Sun sounded dubious to me from the start. One problem FR has is applying different standards of credibility to things FR wants to believe as opposed to things that FR doesn't want to believe.

Did I read somewhere in all of this that this young couple are planning on getting married the end of this year?

I read the same thing, and I agree, there's a LOT strange here. But I'm also thinking that sufficient funds have been deposited to make this go away.

"What about the quotes from her "friend"? A fake? A Lehane fantasy?"

Not inconceivable. And the so-called videotape might be a fabrication, as well. Indeed, it is conceivable that this entire affair has been concocted in order to be disproven and, therefore, innoculate Kerry against future charges of sexual adventurism.

On the other hand...

After the father's calling Kerry a "sleazeball" who hit on his daughter, the last sentence of the parents' statement seems clashingly incongruous -- not to mention gratuitous.

"We appreciate the way Senator Kerry has handled the situation, and intend on voting for him for president of the United States."

Really? We're going to vote for the sleazeball who hit on our daughter?

Irrespective of their political views why say it? It wasn't necessary. It's gratuitous -- like a coded message embedded in the statement of a hostage...

Kerry's testimony calling American soldiers murderers and such--is this preserved on audiotape that could be played by the media?

Bet someone stands over them in the voting booth and makes sure Kerry gets their vote.

Are you saying he is the author of the AP denial story? I don't see his name connected to this story unless I am missing it.

Here you go:

Woman Denies Rumors of Kerry Affair
By MATTHEW ROSENBERG
Associated Press Writer
NAIROBI, Kenya

A woman who has been the subject of rumors linking her to Sen. John Kerry denied Monday that she ever had an affair with the Democratic presidential candidate.

Breaking her silence four days after the allegations surfaced on the Internet, Alexandra Polier issued a statement to The Associated Press, saying, "I have never had a relationship with Senator Kerry, and the rumors in the press are completely false."

Kerry already has denied reports that he had an extramarital affair. On Monday, his campaign said he would have no further comment.

Polier's statement was released to the AP in Nairobi, where the 27-year-old freelance journalist is visiting the parents of her fiance, Yaron Schwartzman, an Israeli who was raised in Kenya. She previously worked as an editorial assistant for the AP in New York.

The Sun is owned by Rupert Murdoch.
This story was all over Great Britain.
Doesn't Myrdoch own a bunch of US papers?
Why did they not publish details of the affair?

She says the stories are "false." I think that is a denial from her.

So maybe the "false" story was an affair....perhaps something "else" (fill in the blanks......) ......enquiring minds seek to know.....?
