[history]
"For the last several days I have seen Internet and tabloid rumors relating to me and Senator John Kerry. Because these stories were false, I assumed the media would ignore them. It seems that efforts to peddle these lies continue, so I feel compelled to address them. I have never had a relationship with Senator Kerry, and the rumors in the press are completely false. Whoever is spreading these rumors and allegations does not know me, but should know the pain they have caused me and my family. I am in Kenya with my fiance visiting his family, and we ask that the press respect our privacy and leave all of us alone."

Well, I don't work for the U.K. Sun, but if they made that up, the father could sue them.
I suspect they have it on tape.

What ever happened to the blond model that was originally romantically tied to Kerry? Her picture was all over Free Republic last week.

I feared that Drudge had jumped the gun on this....if fact, the dark side may have given this to Drudge so that it would come to a dead end, and thus, they could get protection from future possible TRUE hits on Kerry.

I totally disagree. You must understand that there are TWO AND A HALF GENERATIONS who don't even know who Jane Fonda is and whose only "war" in their memory was the Gulf War. This is NOT going to hurt Kerry. Perhaps... but there are an equal number of generations who do remember Fonda, and many of them would otherwise vote for the RAT.
The interesting thing is that I've heard of young people, when told of Fonda's exploits, don't believe it at first, so treasonous it sounds/is. A great way to educate the youth, if you ask me.

QUESTION:
If Alez Polier now says:
"I never interned or worked for John Kerry...." - AP phone call
If Terry Polier said before:
"I think he's a sleazeball.
I did kind of wonder if my daughter didn't get that kind of feeling herself.
He's not the sort of guy I would choose to be with my daughter."
Why has Terry Polier now decided to document his admiration and respect for J-FK and the fact that he and his wife Donna Polier now insist that the world know they plan on voting for John Kerry?
Why has the word "relationship" been used by all concerned?
..
The "denials" raise more questions than answers.
The seriousness of the charge outweighs the undocumented comments now in the media.
I am deeply troubled.
I need answers.
This must be investigated.
I cannot move on........

"I have established, from reliable sources, that Matt Rosenberg, the author of this story,...Are you saying he is the author of the AP denial story? I don't see his name connected to this story unless I am missing it.

I made a mistake, sorry. Matthew Rosenberg's bylines in Iraq ended in mid-January this year.

"Explain, he hosted Rush's show for a bit when he was away. From what I understand he is a pretty well known Republican."
He might be a Republican, but I doubt he's a member of the right wing of the party. I don't believe his news coverage shows much bias to either party, but in fact, he's been accused of liberal leanings by some here on FR because of the negative news flash articles he's posted about Bush. I don't ever recall Matt claiming membership in any political party, and if he hosted Rush's program while he was in detox, then I'm sure it was because the labor pool to cover all that open time was limited, and they had to get people with radio experience from wherever they could, to fill the voids. I don't believe he ever subbed for Rush prior to his lengthy absence for rehab.

This nation voted for the ultimate draft-dodging scumbag, Clinton.
The only people who Jane Fanda matters to (in a negative way) are already Bush voters. This won't gain us votes.
Focussing on Kerry being reflexively against U.S. military presence in the world is a good issue.

This is how credible the Sun (and British journalism in general) is. This is the front page of their paper today...Paul McCartney personally ringing the newspaper to ask them to lay off his wife and stop printing lies about her and his family. I would take anything printed in the British tabloids with a HUGE grain of salt.

I wonder what the Sun thinks about Daddy's change of opionion of Kerry Yeah, I'm wondering that myself. He goes from calling him a 'SLEAZEBAG' to endor$ing him for Pre$ident ?!
Seems that's a LONG step to me - in just a couple of days !

Above all, the media wants "their side" -- the Democrats -- to win every election.

"Refresh my memory -- I don't recall Drudge ever naming a particular person. I think I recall the name being raised by other sources. I could be wrong, but if not, and considering the report that other media have been working on the story, that would mean that there is still something to this -- it just doesn't involve Ms. Polier."
You are 100% correct. She was "named" by a British paper.

I think it would have been better for Kerry without that "scripted" statement. That has the DNC fingerprints all over it, but then again....who cares?

P.S. to my last reply:
Did I read somewhere in all of this that this young couple are planning on getting married the end of this year? If so, unless they're planning on being married in Kenya, one would think that she would have to be here to make wedding plans. It's a little hard to plan a wedding taking place in the U.S. when you're thousands of miles away in Africa.

Some points:
1 Drudge didn't report this story, he reported that several major news organizations were already pursuing it. What information were they working on?
2 Look how difficult it is to get a story like this. The girl involved is a Kerry supporter, maybe even a lover of his. She has a rich fiancee'. Her parents naturally want to protect her. So none of those people are going to help.
3 Last questions. Where is the "friend" of hers that was blabbing? What were the "nasty" details that wouldn't go away?

Why was the thread locked? Was it related to what Toespi said or another reason? It was a duplicate thread. I was trying to respond to Toespi's post as it was locked, so I decided to answer it on this one. This thread was linked from the blocked one.
