Other than denoting your disapproval, what does the adjective mean in the phrase ``special interest''? Is the National Education Association a special interest? The AFL-CIO?
You abhor ``special tax giveaways for the privileged and special interests.'' When supporting billions in ethanol subsidies, mostly for agribusinesses, did you think about corn-growing, caucus-holding Iowa?
TOPICS: Editorial; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: 2004; doublestandard; georgewill; kerry; questions; specialinterests
Would Kerry stand still long enough to answer these questions? Would anyone dare to ask them?

Thanks for a great post! I'm already drafting letters to our local newspaper asking a few of these questions. Free Republic, please start hitting back NOW...we cannot afford to wait until August or September.

Brilliant column. Thanks for posting. I'd love to see Russert go through the entire list if/when he gets Kerry on!

"Mr. Kerry, there are more than two million Vietnamese refugees now in America. Many of those have since become U.S. citizens. Why have none of those people ever complained of the atrocities against civilians that you said were pervasive during your service on the Mekong Delta? Why did a prominent Vietnamese language newspaper in Northern Virginia yesterday refer to you as a "phan boi," or traitor?"

Mr. Kerry, what did you mean when you referred to the downing of TWA 800 as a terrorist act, on Larry King Live and Chris Matthews' Hardball?

"Mr. Kerry, there are more than two million Vietnamese refugees now in America."
And by a fairly high proportion, they vote Republican and conservative.
Why? They recall it was the dems that botched the military aspect of the effort. They realize the dems then decided to cut bait and run. The Vietnamese community will associate the anti-war effort with dems.
Also, the Vietnamese are pro-small business. And they see Republicans as more friendly to business owners.

To add to my questions for Mr. Kerry, I would also offer a comment.
"Comrade Kerry, I have to give you credit for having the forethought of tossing someone else's medals into the White House lawn, thereby keep yours in pristine condition. That has got to be one of the most pre-meditated, devious acts ever I've heard of. You do Hillary and Ted Kennedy proud!"

And by a fairly high proportion, they vote Republican and conservative. There was an ethnic poll run by some group in California last year, just before the Iraq war.
It found that Vietnamese Americans consistently supported the war, GWB, the war on terror, and the rest of it higher than any other ethnic group. Hispanics and Chinese were in the 50s/60s. Arabs were way down there in the 30s/40s.
Vietnamese Americans were in the mid- to high-80s on every question asked.

That has got to be one of the most pre-meditated, devious acts ever I've heard of.How about Ted Kennedy's characterization of Kerry's 3-day shore leave from his frigate to Danang as a "tour of duty" in Vietnam?
How about Kerry's obsession with getting on a SWIFT boat because it reminded him of PT-109?
How about applying for reassignment to the States, one week after his third paper cut of a shrapnel wound?
Everything in this guy's lfe has been premeditated and devious.

Amen to that question. One question I would like to ask Kerry is why did you come back home and protest while my brother was still there fighting? And as a follow up did not John McCain say the Vietnamese used this against PO W's?

I read the article. It is great. Please send a message to George Will thanking him for this powerful article. I just did that few minutes ago. We need to send a thank you message to every journalist who exposes the huge contradictions, hypocrisy, and ultra liberalism of John Kerry. We need to encourage them to speak louder and very often, and tell the American people the truth about John Kerry very dark record.
Please see attached the link to the article.

http://www.usbc.org/surveys/0503lesssupportive.htm For instance, 85% of Vietnamese respondents, supported the war, overwhelmingly approved of Bush and believed that the war would improve U.S. relations with the Arab and Islamic worlds. Filipinos also expressed high levels of support for Bush and his handling of the war.
By contrast, only 40% of Chinese surveyed supported the war, and large majorities feared that it would increase terrorism and worsen relations with the Arab and Islamic worlds. The majority disapproved of the president, registering the highest rate of opposition among all individual communities surveyed, including Arabs and Muslims.
The Vietnamese tend to back Republicans and their policies because of the perception that they are aggressive against communism, which many migrants fled in harrowing journeys after the fall of Saigon, said Ngo Nhan Dung, editor of the influential Nguoi Viet newspaper in Westminster.

Mr. Kerry you have objected to President Bush's conduct of the War on Terror and much of American foreign policy in response to the 9/11 attacks. Assuming you are elected you will become responsible for the conduct of the war and diplomacy immediately upon taking office. Since national security is such a critical issue in the upcoming election, and given your persistent criticism of the President on this issue, you must be giving it serious thought. Who are you considering for the positions of Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State?
I'd love to hear his answer to this question, but I know it will never happen. Kerry can't claim he has given it no thought as he would look like a fool. Therefore, he would have to answer truthfully which would blow the whole issue for him given his record on national security issues. Or he would have to try to spin his answer which would leave him open to challenge on the national security issue.

Therefore, he would have to answer truthfully...C'mon, now...he's a Democrat!
