Kerry denies allegations of infidelity

The story, widely covered by U.S. and British media Friday, was based on a report on the Internet tabloid site DrudgeReport.com, run by Matt Drudge. Drudge's report alleged Kerry had been seeing a former Associated Press employee who has left the country at his behest.

Look, this is pretty simple:

If he denies it I would believe him. The risks these days of not telling the truth up front are quite severe.

If it isn't true he has everything to gain by saying so.

Therefore, if he doesn't deny it then it is true.

There is an evidence trail here dating back six years. Democrats think they live in a 30 day cycle of clean rebirth. They rewrite their own positions before the ink is dry and they think that they can run their lives that way because they have gotten away with it for so long.

The problem is that you can't just shred and rewrite personal behavior which others participated in. Sure you can kill the other parties involved. It's been done before. Just ask the swimmer and Bubba. But Kerry dips his wick in wealthy ink. No trailer trash you can just take out in a drive-by.

Incredible. One of Weasley Clark's minions spreads the story, says it will be in TIME magazine (hardly a GOP mouthpiece) and predicts everyone will blame the Republicans. Sadly, he's right. The Republicans, the Bush Campaign, "right wingers" in general, all will be (or already are being) blamed for this vicious hit piece, so everyone can quickly ignore it (and not bother to consider that it might be true, and what that says about John F-ing Interns Kerry's character).

I'm not sure of the source but I think I this is from Hannity's interview of Drudge yesterday on his radio show. Supposedly, Gore was interested in Kerry for the VP slot in 2000 but he was running away from being tied to Clinton's affairs. Gore knew of Kerry's weakness for women other than Teresa so went with Lieberman instead.

Thank God he did. What would 2000 have been without Sore Loserman?

From what I've read, Gore considered Kerry for the VP slot in 2000 but backed off because of Kerry's reputation (and, supposedly, a 1998 affair) & chose Lieberman instead. Obviously, because of Clinton, Gore wanted to distance himself from that sort of sordid stuff. My impression was that this was pretty common knowledge w/in certain circles.

Great analysis of the 30 day cycle of Democratic rebirth and that Kerry likes to marry money.

However, with the youth of the young woman (ala Clinton) he's playing at being young again and would risk the money to recapture that. He manifests that in his speeches, his campaign music choices, his cliched rhetoric, and his motorcycle schtick (sp). He's a tired old fool.

In another age men like Clinton and Kerry would be called roues.

Except that Clark told 16 reporters about Kerry's intern problem imploding his campaign.

Also, Drudge had an email from Craig Crawford(?) talking about Chris Lehene shopping the story around. Also, they have Dean refusing to get out of the race because of this and I heard on Rush (so no links) that Dean kept saying this was not a story he would pursue while at the same time shopping it around to reporters imploring them to run with it.

The blame Republican angle might have actually been the plan but I think that by Drudge going on the offense and exposing it before Time did ruined the plan.

They have already tried the Republican dirty tricks. It will get some traction but even Kerry supporter IMUS this morning finally admitted it was a Clinton hit job.

One of Weasley Clark's minions spreads the story, ...

Then Weasley endorses Kerry so that leads to one of two scenarios, both of which the goal is to bring Kerry down because he's getting too far ahead...one scenario is that Weasley slides into Kerry's ''slot'' & the other is that HRC slithers into Kerry's slot. Dr. Dean is still out there with Al Gore's endorsement. Could be a behind the scenes showdown at the Dem convention--Clinton (Clark) vs Gore. The question of whether it's Clark or HRC in the position against Gore will be determined by the political climate (Bush's vulnerability) at the time of the convention. Maybe.
