We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)

Update 2:
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
MORE
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
Update 3 FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX FRI DEC 05, 2003 19:58:09 ET XXXXX
HILLARY RIPS BUSH: WARNS OF 'IRREPARABLE HARM' TO NATION
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton blasts President Bush and his "radical" administration on Saturday for attempting to dismantle the "central pillars of progress in our country during the 20th century."
Clinton makes the comments to Saturday editions of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE, sources tell DRUDGE.
The former first lady says she has become convinced the Republican administration wants "to undo the New Deal," the Roosevelt-era policies that ushered in Social Security and a host of other governmental assistance programs.
She said that Bush, who campaigned as a "compassionate conservative" in 2000, had taken a "hard-right turn to pursue an extremist agenda" after moving into the White House.
"I don't know where it came from, but the fact is that this President Bush has not only been radical and extreme in terms of Democratic presidents but in terms of Republican presidents, including his own father," she says.
She believes Bush is beatable next year because his administration is "making America less free, fair, strong, smart than it deserves to be in a dangerous world."
"We have to change direction before irreparable harm is done," she adds.
"This administration is in danger of being the first in American history to leave our nation worse off than when they found it."

Could this create a Democratic backlash against Republicans for perceived scandalmongering? Since when do the DemonRats need a reason for a backlash against Republicans???

Kerry's first wife is Julia Thorne. You can do a Google on her. She wrote a book about dealing with chronic depression.
She seems to have gotten over it once she got rid of Kerry.

I have thought all along Clark was a stooge---the Rhoades (?sp) Scholar with not one drop of common sense. Too stupid to know he was a stooge. Who knows what is going on in his mind?
OR, (tin foil alert) perhaps the reason he was fired by bubba was so explosive maybe he entered the race because he had to enter the race.
bubba is a great political strategist--no one can deny that. Wonder if bubba's plans are so far in advance a plan is laid out right up until the convention?

Its the fantastic stories part that has me excited. Maybe Lurch liked to dress up and play soldier?

It's about time something hit the fan! I read awhile back that the Boston Globe and Lehane had explosive material under wraps and Rush just mentioned Lehane possibly being behind this. If so, wouldn't he have revealed it before Clark bowed out? This has the Clintons fingerprints all over it. Last night Susan Estrich said Hillary should have listened to Bill and not waited until 2008 as GWB is vulnerable. Well here's her opportunity.

They're already blaming Bush/Rove down at the DUmp. Didn't take them long.
Looks like one of our agents over there got zotted. Seems he mentioned the name "Hitlary", which isn't generally welcomed there.

They can try to blame Bush/Rove for leaking the story but we won't let them forget that:
1. ABC is working on the story.
2. Washington Post is working on the story.
3. Time magazine is working on the story.
4. Clark obviously knew and told 3 reporters last week.
5. The woman's friend approached reporters.
