We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

Update 2:

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

MORE

A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]

The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Update 3

FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

Any rumors on how old this affair is?

Hope it's in the last year.

Is Buffett invested in Geico? If he is I didn't know that.

Have you ever heard the story of how Federal Express originated as a business school term paper, and how the guy who proposed it got an F?

Well, Geico was Buffett's dream going all the way back possibly as far as when he was an undergraduate - his idea was that you could substantially undersell your competition by eliminating all the overhead that comes with locally franchised insurance resellers. It was sort of a proto-outsourcing business model, back before anyone dreamed of off-shoring all the way to India [of course, India was aligned with the Soviet Union in those days].

PS: This FR poster has chronicled Buffett's infatuation with the murder of the unborn child in the womb.

Are you kidding me? That will mean absolutely nothing to democrats, as a matter of fact, with infidelity added to his resume he'll be a shoo-in for the nomination.

The dems LOVE cheats, that won't hurt him at all.

Doesn't matter. This story still sucks up all the media oxygen, kills his ability to get out a message and takes the heat off W. The main thing running through every "moderates" mind is "...not again?!?!"

They don't care, they really don't--and even if it's true, they'll say it's his private life blah blah blah, make them mad about Ken Starr all over again & blame the VRWC. And heck, this is stuff that really should be saved for oh, say, about October.....

Fantastic stories!?!?!? Maybe we'll have to change the meaning of John F'n Kerry to John Fantastic Kerry.

Um, no, on second thought, the mental image only makes me puke.

With all due respect, he's completely wrong. We don't have to worry about the media doing in Kerry. The other candidates are going to rip him to SHREDS. Howard Dean will be foaming at the mouth, as will Edwards. They will ensure that this become issue #1 in the Democratic primary. He's DONE!

"THIS INVOLVES A 23 YEAR OLD SENATE STAFFER WHOM KERRY HAS BEEN SEEING AND HAS BEEN INVOLVED WITH FOR SOME TIME."

I wonder if he ever told her he was a Vietnam vet?

Nader is running as an independent. The Natural law Party wants kucinich to be their nominee and the Greens would LOVE to have Dean

It will be a fun year.

Why would this ruin a democrat? The line of women seeking his services would just grow longer.

He can always claim he's taken too many shots to the head, anyway.

The DU'ers haven't caught onto the fact that their DNC talking points liberal media lowlifes are the ones behind the story?

They don't understand the Washington Post, ABC and Time are on this story...someone needs to go over there and shake things up by reminding them continuously of that little fact.

I think it would definitely be best to have Kerry over Edwards. If Kerry, or Dean for that matter, gets the nomination, Bush won't have to spend a DIME in the South. Not a DIME.

That leaves hella money to poach away at swing states.

How would Clark know about a Kerry intern story ... I smell Hillary . . .

Maybe not. Remember all those questions about just how serious a Democrat Wesley Clark really is? Hmmmm . . .
