We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)

Update 2:
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
MORE
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
Update 3 FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

I was about to post yesterday that I thought Hillary was preparing a run for the Whitehouse, when Kerry imploded. The problem is that they didn't count on Kerry imploding too soon. My guess is that Hillary wants to wait until the convention to make her run because she doesn't want to face the heat of a campaign. She wants to get out all the dirt on everyone else before anyone has a chance to bring up all her negatives.
Get ready, be prepared. We should start compiling our Clinton opposition now.

I agree that that is an exacerbating fact, but let's see how it plays out. I could imagine her saying: "In no way was I pressured to leave the country. I made the decision on my own because I knew the media hounds would be after me," etc.
Unless there's a tape or documentary evidence it might be hard to disprove that. Then again, if she admits she was pressured, game's on!

"Which is why Bush should dump Cheney and get himself somebody healthy."VP Cheney is just fine. AFter his initial diagnosis of irregular heart beat several years ago, I don't remember him having any additional problems.
And you know the Dem operatives are out there as we speak, hoping upon hope that VP Cheney will collapse any minute with major heart disease.
Besides, by today's standards, the procedure VP Cheney had was minor. His experience and steady-handedness in this administration has added immeasurably to the success of President GWB.
Yes, there might be younger more energetic VP candidates out there, but few have such immediate respect as does Cheney.
Just out of curiosity, who would be your reccomendation as replacement??

I thought infidelity was a litmus-test item for Dem leaders, like supporting abortion. And if you knock her up and she has an abortion, you get extra points!
Oh my, I feel six years younger. Yes, it feels just like those wonderful, heady* days of 1998. I sure hope she's really, really cute this time, so the press will run pictures 10 times an hour rather than 5 times an hour.
*Go ahead, run with it.
To: Redcloak
I tend to agree with you. The dems won't give a rat's patoot about it. All they care about is beating President Bush by any means necessary.

It depends on the public reaction, too. I don't think the swing vote can stomach another philanderer-in-chief. Don't forget, a "President Kerry" would be facing a Republican congress.
Nasty.

Rob, it will reflect negatively on
men. HRC will keep above the fray, speak sympathetically about Teresa, yada, yada, yada. This has the potential to take out Edwards simply through guilt by association (he is a man, good looking, you know he is screwing around ... how can you trust them. What we need is a good woman who is above all that ...).
No, if this is a problem for the Clintoons, it is only for Bill. Watch her jettison him to keep the sympathy going. Brilliant strategery!

usually prostate surgery kinda "knocks you out of the box" so to speak - - sometimes a man loses total sexual function. I guess in the case of Kerry - - "the boys are back in town".....

Good point.
Hillary ran for Senate, why not Madame Heinz?
But then, the Senate has rules against the kind of language she is fond of using...
