We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)

Update 2:
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
MORE
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
Update 3 FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

But I think this has to be about the Toons. Apropos of nothing in particular, my wife and I recently got our son a membership in the online game, Disney Toontown -- only to become kinda addicted to it ourselves.... So when you referred to "Toons," my first image was a bunch of cute cartoon rabbits, cats, ducks, etc. and I was wondering what the heck they had to do with the elections. 8>)

The recursive nature of the situation is very interesting. We have someone on DU, who may or may not be a troll, posting there that he's found the post here from someone who claims to be a troll there. Who's really the troll? At this point is it better form to "reveal" ourselves as prominent DUers or just let them wonder how many of their best (if that's appropriate) posters are really leading their forum down the path of complete imbicility for our own ends. Someone they trust is one of us... ?

"The two pictures were put together."I keep getting the picture of Ted Kennedy. LOL. Then below that is Kerry on a vehicle and below that is Jane.
Seriously is the picture that they are saying is a fake the one where Kerry is sitting two rows behind Jane? The one that Rush put up on his site?

Too soon for Hillary to jump into the race. Like Dean and Clark, she would get tripped up by a long campaign with time to look into her past. Too many negatives. She wants a quick, decisive strike a la Lautenberg. Look for her to take over at the convention.
That said, this would be the perfect time to take out Kerry and swing the momentum to Edwards so neither one has amassed enough delegates to be powerful enough to keep HRC on the sidelines.
Imagine the horror in the HRC camp that Kerry might have a chance? If he gets elected, his presidency will make Carter's look like the glory years. Once Kerry is done, there won't be another democrat elected to office for decades. She won't risk that.

Yes, the plan is always for other donors to repay the loan, but that runs up against the concept that when donors are giving money to his campaign *at this point* they are doing so to see it used to defeat Bush. If he takes their money and puts it in his pocket as a loan repayment, it is disingenuous to the donors, who did not intend to pay him -- they intended to defeat Bush.
He's in big trouble on this 6 million loan and it will hit the radar screens soon. John Glenn still owes 2 million from his 1984 run.
