We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

Update 2:

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

MORE

A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]

The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Update 3

FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

just not afraid to not conform to the mould of others' expectations.

Yes, I would think that $800,000,000 would allow one a certain independence of spirit . . .

"Clark had a chance before losing both southern states. One would think if he had this, he would have used it then."

Not necessarily. It has never been shown that Clark was ever really electable and I'm sure the Klintoons were counting on that.

My guess: It won't get reported until tomorrow morning when the nets have met with their executives, lawyers, and called the Kerry campaign to give him a chance to "respond".

If this had been a Republican they never would have thought about holding it while verifying sources.

Did Drudge break the Lewinsky story? Anyone have a link to an archive showing how Drudge's page looked like?

Rush Limbaugh is ON FIRE right now. He keeps turning up stuff from everywhere. This Kerry-and-the-intern episode has apparently been floating around for years. Rush just read an old National Enquirer piece about this. Thank God for Drudge and Rush, because you KNOW that the lamestream press won't touch anything negative about one of their own scumbag Democrats until they are disgraced into it.

Can anyone imagine what the press and the liberal network newsrooms would no with anything remotely like this item if it was about Bush? It would be banner headlines and Peter Jennings' raised eyebrows for weeks.

By the way, goodbye to the "Bush was AWOL" story, LOFL.

What amazes me is that The Beast has more skeletens in her closet than any of these candidates put together. I know the press will dutifully ignore all of her slimey doings but talk about people in glass houses.......

Kerry likes thin blondes. Watch him at fund raisers and charity events. His eyes go immediately toward them.

I'm sitting here thinking that if this were Bush, the cables would have been all over this, sourced or not, two hours ago.

...OMG! You're right. I've not left this thread since 11:55AM. Two hours? And still nothing from the mainstream news.

Allegations against Vietnam war hero John Kerry today threatened his runaway presidential campaign.

This first paragraph sickens me, especially with some of the recent info coming out that medals were not exactly hard to come by over there (and I was there for a full year just before Kerry came on the scene for three months or so). In my opinion, he ain't no hero but an opportunist who took advantage of his environment to get some medals that he could use to his political gain later. Yes, he took some risky chances (like storming a beach once or twice), but those Marine grunts who faced booby traps every day and never knew where the enemy would hit them next are the real heros in my opinion. Of course, what he did when he came back (leader of the veterans anti-war protests) when there were still soliders dying over there is what frosts me (and many others) the most. Sorry, he isn't a hero in my book, and its sad that the journalists of today think he is.

(BTW, have you found any more pics of John and Jane? ;>))

Ireland Online, news from Ireland, now taking up this Kerry "Bring On The Intern" story (a few minutes ago, under "Breaking"). Wonder how many more international news outlets will handle until CNN opens their big fat trap about it, or Katie Couric is forced on NBC to talk about it: http://breakingnews.iol.ie/news/story.asp?j=94575760&p=94576466

So you're saying that Kerry will NOT recieve the same treatment McClellan/Rice/Powell/etc. have from the Washington Press Corps on the non-issue of President Bush's Guard duty. Go figure.

Michael Isikoff broke Lewinsky story. I think he's newsweek. But, Linda Tripp confided in Lucianne Goldberg. Tripp was being threatened to lie under oath so she revealed what she knew to Lucianne.
