We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
Update 2:
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
MORE
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
Update 3 FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

What I mean is that the airwaves are saturated with filth and good people are sick of it. A disgusting show like Sex and the City has millions of fans, but there people like me are saying, "Enough!" That is reflected by how upset many were about the Super Bowl show. That the SUper Bowl show was produced like that in the first place is evidence that popular culture propagates very low sexual morals.

Leonard Downie Jr., executive editor of The Washington Post ... said he had not heard anything about an alleged infidelity. That's like saying, "Huh? Wow, that's the first we heard that Ted Kennedy likes a nip now and then."

This may play well for Cash & Kerry. It takes his Silver Star questions out of the news after bashing Bush, and this was going to come out anyway. This allows him to kill two stories at once and takes on the easier of the two. Then he apologizes to the soccer moms and he suddenly becomes sexy. His dingbat wife has to go along to make this happen for him and he is a war hero again with something on the side!! Can you say JFK??? The anti-war record is off the table thanks to Drudge and Republicans become prudes again.
Pray for W and The Election

Lautenberg's last minute entry in New Jersey in 2000 was the test run for Hillary's last minute addition to the Democrat ticket. Toricelli is already reinstated as a Dem player.
I predict Edwards will get the nomination, but will drop out right before or right after the convention, freeing the top spot for herself.
IF they can knock down Bush a few more notches.

Speaking of Matt Drudge. What about these allegations that he's gay. Let's not go there. Those rumours quite possibly could have started here on FR after a satire thread of an LA Chapter get together in '99 where it was posted that Matt was gay. It was all in fun and everyone was taking hits. Matt's right hand man used to come to our meetings.
Drudge delinked us a short time later.

THIS IS GOING TO FIRE UP the DEAN WACKOSNo, this is going to fire up the ketchup queen, that's who it's going to fire up.
She's already on the record as forecasting JFK II's death if he cheated on her, and you can bet it's covered in their prenup.
Hillary! didn't care, because she has ice water in her veins and saw Bill as a means to an end.
Terry Kerry, a/k/a Teresa Heinz, is not a politician and will loathe being made a public laughingstock.
Her reaction will determine Kerry's fate-and she has no reason whatsoever to pull a Hillary.

The "it's just sex" doesn't work anymore; here's why. During impeachment, 75% of the public didn't want Clinton removed from office. However, one year later, the tables had turned and the same 75% now believed that Clinton SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED.
Then .. we had 9-11. Everything has changed.

Thanks for posting - interesting new info, particularly the stuff about the Kerry campaign being prepared for this and confident they can handle it.

I keep reading these posts about Hillary or Gore jumping into the race if Kerry falters...
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they can jump into the race this late in the game. I imagine ballots are already printed up for, and the deadline has passed in all the super tuesday states. I suppose someone could start a write in movement, but that seems difficult considering the average intelligence of a democrat voter (remember florida 2000).
Perhaps someone who knows the rules regarding primary elections could answer this one way or the other...
