What happens if NBC is wrong[?]" he wrote. "What happens if this is a historical mission that does succeed … that transforms the Middle East … that brings peace and security to America. What if NBC’s role was like that of much of the media in general … allowing the terrorists to fight their war on the American television screen, where their stories of death and destruction dominate rather than that of American heroes?"

Very brave of him.

Arnot is a superstar, probably the best reporter covering Iraq. I hope Fox can grab him too.

HEY DR. BOB!

You did an outstanding job in Iraq. Call Fox News. They can use a few good people like you.

Mr. Shapiro added that the Center for Media and Public Affairs found NBC News to be the most balanced among the networks.

Doesn't mean you're "fair and balanced." More of an inditement of news in general.

Are you serious? Did she really say that? Is there a transcript?

start the email writing campaign now, Fox must get Arnot. They surely need some new talent on that network, its getting very stale and drifting left.

NBC did the same thing with the "Scud Stud" reporter in Iraq War I. I don't remember his name, but he became very popular to the viewers. Shortly after the war ended, he disappeared from NBC--fired.

Maybe FoxNews will take Dr. Bob on as a contributor. Dr. Bob is very watchable with interesting and not-too-biased reports.

Mr. Bush had his sources, and Mr. Russert saw what he saw

They only see and report what they want the public to believe. Gobbels is chuckling in his grave, over the leftist media in the U.S.

I don't know about a transcript, but I heard her say it. My jaw dropped all the way to the floor--even for her it was over the top.

Dr. Arnott was by far the best of the correspondents on finding positive news about what was going on in Iraq. He saved people's lives during the invastion, he went to hospitals to help them get set up, he went to schools, he made friends with the Iraqi people, and now NBC fires him.

He is the ONLY one I liked at NBC/MSNBC that was reporting from Iraq after the war.

Just goes to show you when someone reports honestly, the media dumps them!

Geraldo has done just fine on his coverage of the war effort, he's not a military basher by any means. Fox has plenty of other pinheads who they should get rid of before Geraldo.

He showed up for awhile hosting "History's Mysteries" on the History channel--since then, I haven't seen much of him.

What a sorry day for so-called "mainstream journalism". We're rapidly approaching the point where anyone who doesn't toe the company/party line 100% won't be welcome in any news organization.

Me too--this is a shame, but maybe it will open the door to something better--like a job at Fox.
