Good deal! Jackie Winters is one of a large slate of black candidates we have running in 2004. Some of the most prominent:

SENATE
Herman Cain, Georgia
Marvin Scott, Indiana

HOUSE
Dylan Glenn, Georgia-8
Raymond Davis, Georgia-4
Clinton LeSueur & Stephanie Summers-O'Neal, Missippy-2
James Garner, New York-4
Vernon Robinson, North Carolina-5
Ada Fisher, North Carolina-12
Jackie Winters, Oregon-5
Winsome Sears, Virginia-3

Any updates on how the Winters and Zupancic campaigns are going, and if Boquist is definitely going to sit this one out?

Of course, it doesn't matter if they're black, white, or green with purple polka dots. What matters is that they're good, solid conservatives who will help promote and pass a conservative agenda.

Yes, but . . . I think it would say something about a party if it DIDN'T attract good candidates from certain races. Statistically speaking, in a meritocracy you'd expect a certain percentage of each race, give or take 5% or so, and I think our draw reflects that meritocracy.

And there are certain facts about race-based voting in the US that are impossible to ignore.

I know... it's just that I have enough libertarianism in me to dream about a voting public that works on principle. :)

Bump.

My son is so excited and it is two weeks away and the excitement is causing ballistic movements from his Cerebral Palsy.

So much so that I have a careprovider coming in that day to assist me in getting King Vanity ready.

Our intentions are not the same as the rest but we will be there.

Seeing Dr. Keyes for my son is like any of you going to an event that you dream of.

Would be for me too! I'm a big AK fan, have been since '96, but I've never met him.

Antonio Davis-Fairman is a unapologetic black conservative running against RAT incumbant Danny Davis in Illinois' 7th District. Go Antonio!

If Jackie Winters were to win the election, it would be extraordinary. I know that one of her priimary opponents, Jim Zupaniac, has over $180,000 in cash-on-hand. And the 'Rat Congresswoman, Darlene Hooley, has some $900,000 in the bank.

If you're talking about campaign finance, my info came from the Federal Election Commission, whose website is www.fec.gov
