Actually, I just got through copying that page to a file. I give ABC some credit in at least they are willing to admit to what has been common knowledge a couple of decades.

It almost sounds like ABC's making a joke. It doesn't sound serious.
that emotional examples of suffering (provided by unions or consumer groups) are good ways to illustrate economic statistic stories.
It does not understand how educated, sensible people could possibly be wary of multilateral institutions or friendly, sophisticated European allies.
It sounds over-the-top to me. Maybe I'm wrong...
