Vanity: [FR Poll] If it's Kerry vs Bush how will you vote?
2/7/2003 | FR

I thought because there is a poll on FR that says "If it's Kerry vs Bush how will you vote?" it would be good to start a thread on the matter for people to explain how they voted in the poll, if they choose to do so.

So no vote for Bush IS a vote for the Rats.

A repeating of flawed thinking. Would you prefer I not vote for President at all, or vote for the dem?

See the difference?

There were no terrorists in Iraq before we attacked. Now they are crossing the borders to get in.

I guess you forgot about the ones they captured, very early on in this campaign...in fact, right after the bombing...and I guess you forgot about the documents found in a bombed building, that had terrorist names on them (oh, I know, CNN didn't show that).

Saddam wasn't quite of the same caliber as Hitler.

yeah, he was only a "little" mass murderer, by comparison.

If you remember the tax cuts came before the war and were budgeted in, thus the same response to the dems when they say they want to "cancel" the Bush tax cuts.

Guess what? That is a tax increase... But go ahead, keep telling yourself that sitting out or voting third party is best for the country. That'll teach us bad republicans, I hope you still feel that way when eventually our "Pledge of Allegiance" includes the phrase "under allah"

Are you for real? Tax cuts at ANY time are the right thing to do. This country is not in debt because we aren't paying enough in taxes. We are in debt because we spend too much money. Wartime and times of economic stagnation make deficits necessary. We happen to have seen both simultaneously.

Hey, I agree with you guys for the most part. I just don't think we are doing the President any favors if we deny the reality that there is a problem. History tells us that strong conservative leadership wins elections. Nixon ran as a conservative and won. Ford as a wishy-washy moderate and lost. Reagan as a conservative and won. Bush Sr. as a Conseravative and the heir to the Reagan legacy in 88 and he won. He ran as a wishy-washy guy in 92 and lost. Dole as a wishy-washy guy in 96 and lost. W ran as a conservative in 2000 and won.

Right now the white house (for reasons unknown, perhaps they are missing the big picture in the focus group numbers) are behaving like Bush in 92 and Dole and 96. They are trying to pander to every group taht has no chance in hell of voting for them, and in doing so they are risking those who put W in the white house in the first place.

Thanks nic...

You can't seem to win around here.

First it's too much attitude, then it's not enough.

There were terrorists in Iraq prior to our going in.

This issue will be upon us sooner than you know. My prayer for the Nation is that only the Man Jehovah Gira wants, will be seated at the head of this Nation after the National Elections. While the Presidential Election always tends to be the focal point the real raw boned POWER rests in the Congressional Elections as to where the Nation will end up. The true "Will Of The People" is played out in Congress.

It is my hope that if current conditions do not change; that a Viable third party comes about in time to determine if it actually has the support in the time remaining so a vote "FOR" is not thrown away! I am a Conservative Extradoinaire, open minded and ready for action, that living today demands. This once meant I was a "REPUBLICAN" plain and simple because it said you were a "Conservative". Unfortunately the times and things change and are in constant flux. If I can I will vote for the candidate of my choice If not someone will just get my vote but I wll do my civic duty, protesting all the way down and back if necessary! If I continue to see Illegal Aliens stealing my Birthright then I will do what has to be done because unlike them I have sworn Allegiance To The Constitution and have worn the Uniform Of My Nation and will defend it to the Death!

The difference is that when there is a democratic president, the Republican congress does its job and stops the big spending. I used to be proud of our congress during the Clinton years.

Right. There clearly is an argument to be made that we would be better off with a Republican Congress, for which I intend to vote, with a Dem President rather than the big government faux conservative we now have.

I have not accepted that argument yet, nor have I rejected it.

Casting no vote is the same as voting for a Rat. It would have the same effect. The less the popular vote the President has, the greater the popular vote the Rats have, ratio-wise. But, you already knew that, didn't you?

The Clinton years were pure hell

I'm not so sure. When Clinton was president, I didn't worry about massive new federal entitlements. We consevatives kicked his rear end on health care, and Clinton was running scared on the budget ever-after. Now, I would not be surprised if I woke up one morning and the President was proposing national health care. I really wouldn't. After all, he signed the CFR bill to undercut the dems. He proposes this immigration monstrosity to undercut the dems. He proposed the Ted Kennedy education bill to undercut the dems. He proposed the medicare giveaway to undercut the dems. Why not national health care?

Teresa Heinz, wife of Democratic frontrunner John Kerry, is one of the country's most generous and high-profile environmental philanthropists. She's given hundreds of millions of dollars to green activist groups, research centers, and nongovernmental organizations.

That's wear I stand. I am not for that argument per se, but I am giving it serious thought.
