To the left, a President with moral values, clarity of purpose and the will to do the right thing....is the danger to the world. To their world, that is.

Let's hope that Americans see this leftist BS for what it really is...an attempt to discredit the best administration we've seen in decades.

"deposed the worst tyrant on the planet"

To pick a nit, Saddam probably comes up short of Kim, who without causing a war has starved more people to death (~2M) than Saddam killed in his many ways (~1M+).

Maybe the left is not so consistent.
I remember reading that Madeline Albright once said that the world would not be safe until every nation had nuclear weapons.
I'll try and find the quote and source. I remember discussing her statement with a coworker who was very NRA and he replied that he only wished she felt the same way about guns and America.

Excellent analysis. I would only add that in a geopolitical context, having a major US presence in Iraq acts as a counterweight to Iran and will further democratization in the region over the long term. It will also help stabilize the flow of oil for the global economy given the increasing tensions and problems in Saudi Arabia. GWB has authored a brilliant, bold stroke, albeit risky, which can lead to a more peaceful, democratic world.

At least the left is consistent: WMDs are the problem, guns are the problem......

"Throughout this war there has been consistently fuzzy nomenclature that reflects mistaken logic: WMDs are supposedly the problem, rather than the tyrannical regimes that stockpile them...." Yes, indeed, their senseless illogic does cross oceans.

It is amazing to me that in this day and age people still attribute to inanimate objects the powers of thought, awareness and volition. Based on their statements and their actions, they appear to be saying that guns and WMD's (and SUVs, let's not forget them) are "bad gods" that not only act on their own to kill children and pollute the environment, but that they exert some kind of magical ability to influence human beings to do more of the same. Something about this strikes me as not only infantile in its naivete, but also sick and anti - G-d in nature. Of course, the last of these characteristics seems to infuse almost everything that these people do and say....

"We live in a sick, sick West if we investigate Mr. Bush's and Mr. Blair's courageous efforts to end Iraqi fascism, while ignoring the thousands of Europeans and multinational corporations who profited from his reign of terror."

Yep!

That's exactly what this bozo (Joseph Cirincione, sitting next to David Kay) was saying yesterday on CSPAN:

David Kay and Joseph CirincioneDavid Kay, Joseph Cirincione, Rose Gottemoeller, and Robert Litwak explore the issues critical in determining the future stability and security of the United States and global peace and prosperity. This event introduces a new book, Ultimate Security: Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction , edited by Janne Nolan, Bernard Finel, and Brian Finlay.

If the United States went to war with Iraq... [with a]... secret plan for stealing the oil of Iraq...

Oil? Maybe. It is either that or the whole war was an elaborate effort to benefit the Haliburton corporation, so as to enrich Vice President Cheney's retirement portfolio.
