This guy who saw Carlie screaming in the parking lot and did nothing should be ashamed beyond beleif....A looky loo who was not brave enough to save a little girl's life..
G-d will now never let anyone hurt Carlie again...
Unbelievable how many 2 legged lions are out in the world looking for there prey, should have a bounty on them.
Isn't that what we do for animals that are a menace to the public?

Bum? More like a wretched waste of skin. It's now revealed the man is a monstrous animal.
The judge, however, was probably doing just what you wish...
taking into account that he was a "live at home father of three little girls". I think they call that "roots in the community". If he had been shifting for himself without attachment, that would be worse for Smith.
I just wish the judge could have known, and considered, ALL his past.
The failing there happened years before and out of the judges control, however. It should have been understood that this fellow was dangerous to the general public, violent and disturbed, and likely to repeat violent acts against women. That he skated away from multiple incidents where he was CAUGHT, not to mention the numerous crimes he may have committed in addition, is the real outrage.

I'm probably wrong, but isn't one of the gals (goofy name) out on the streets? No. None of the people involved in Tate-LaBianca have been released from jail. The bad news is there is only one surviving member of Sharon's family, and while she does turn up at parole hearings, to the best of my knowledge she is the only one and it looks likely Sharon's killers will outlive her survivors.
Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme was convicted back in the '70's for trying to assassinate President Gerald Ford, and she escaped from a minimum security prison during the previous decade. This makes it highly unlikely she will ever know a day's freedom for the rest of her life.

Unfortunately as the military has learned toture does not deliver the truth...when someone like this knows they are going to the death penalty there is absolutely no reason for them to cooperate.
As the military has found - truth serums tend to be effective as lying is a very complicated process within the brain. Minimize the person's ability to think complexly and the truth unfolds.
So instead of torture (remember the person doing the torturing has to live with what they are doing to another humun) just use effective drugs to drive the truth out.

Was someone waiting for her to come home? Who suggested she may be a runaway, did her parents offer any motive to suggest that? She was not far from home when abducted some freepers down there have said....didnt her friend report that she left to go home... I do not see why she was classified a runaway for so long.
Exactly was I was thinking.
The reason, that I can think of as to why she was classified as a runaway for so long: There are written laws and there is the unwritten law of judgement. The Amber Alert has worked. What has failed is judgement in applying the law.
I don't know the details of the law, but I understand, from reading this thread, that the Amber Alert cannot be activated unless there are very good reasons that the missing person is, in fact, missing. It seems poor judgement was used in the early hours in determining whether this girl was or was not a runaway.

So sad. Another beautiful spirit lost to us by a worthless lowlife subhuman scum. In a just world, he would be tried, convicted, and exectuted within in two weeks time.

I'm sure I'll get the living crap flamed out of me but I'll say it anyway...
we have GOT to find a way to track these kids immediately when they get snatched by these predators.
Maybe a chip in their shoe, a chip under the skin surface..I dunno, but SOMETHING!
With the technology we have today it would seem something practical could be used. Enough is enough!

I'm so angry. This didn't have to happen if those fuzzy headed jurors hadn't been brainwashed by his defense lawyer.
Congratulated Smith indeed..... I hope they use bleach to try to get the blood stains off their hands that touched that evil ba$tard when they shook his filthy hand.
Our entire legal system has been turned upside down!
And now I hear Janet Jackson is being attacked because of the color of her breast. My head is exploding!
....AND OUR BABIES ARE DYING BECAUSE OF THIS STUPIDITY.

allows them in our midst unregisteredMany states now have an online list of "registered" sex offenders. It's a help but there's countless others who conveniently forget to register or the LE fails to post their county offenders, or the creep has gotten lost in the shuffle. However, the stats (Gavin de Becker) show that a child molestor may have a history of 60 victims and there's one every square mile. Sad and scary.

Bay News 9 is discussing the deal with Smith to give up Carlie's location. Extremely doubtful they gave up the death penalty. Rather, it was probably a housing concession--and he was moved posthaste up to Port Manatee jail. Time will tell.
I wondered whether they offered to give him a nice dose of his drug du jour.
Anyway, Smith apparently meets an astounding 8 of 12 potential criteria for the FL death penalty--thanks to the liberal system that has given him time and again opportunity to achieve as many as possible.
