JOHN Kerry, in his sworn testimony before Congress said that Americans in Niet Nam said that soldiers "raped, mutilated and murdered people." And he added. "We all did it." In short, he lied about the service of others, and lied about his own.
Those words from JOHN Kerry's own mouth should be stuffed down his throat.

Those going after the President are making a big mistake trashing the reserves. I live in New Mexico where many New Mexico National Guard folks were on the Bataan Death March during WWII. No one here is trashing the Guard or Reserves.
What many are doing is telling the straight out truth that during Vietnam the Guard and Reserves were used by rich and/or politically connected people who were evading the draft. That is one of the more simple facts of the Vietnam war.
And Bush was one of those who played the system to his advantage rather than serve. While another young man from a poor family serverd his tour. Indisputable fact from one who was there and bought the Tee Shirt.
My only question is why did the Republican Party put itself in the position of having to defend charges of Draft Evasion? Is there not one Republican who could have run, even on the second slot on the ticket, who actually served? This totally mystifies me.

According to Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry, he spent four months in Vietnam Dec 69-March 70. After suffering his third minor wound on March 13, Kerry initated a request on March 17 requesting reassignment to the US using an administrative rule that thrice wounded personnel could be reassigned stateside. None of his wounds required hospitalization with the thigh wound resulting in two days off duty.

ZAHN: Well, let's, speaking of the president, talk a little bit about the controversy surrounding him right now. Do you believe he was AWOL during his National Guard experience? KERRY: Paula, I don't have the facts. I really don't. I don't have the answer to that question. But it is a question that's been raised and that ought to be answered. But I don't have the facts.
ZAHN: Well, here are the facts according to "The Boston Globe," your hometown newspaper, that the official record shows that Bush's service included no evidence of any service between May 1972 and October 1, 1973, the official date of his discharge. Does that trouble you, if it's true? And do you believe that to be true?
KERRY: Well, if it's true, it's a legitimate question. But I don't know whether it's true and I don't know the answer to that. And, obviously, it ought to be answered. The person who can answer it is the military and George Bush.

I don't think John F'ing Kerry oughta go there. There's too much crap about his record after he returned from Vietnam and became the willing stooge of the Communist funded anti-war movement. But if he really wants to do it, we should let him do it!

Sen. John McCain revealed that his North Vietnamese captors had used reports of Kerry-led protests to taunt him and his fellow prisoners. Retired General George S. Patton III angrily noted that Kerrys actions had given aid and comfort to the enemy.
Oh I hope this gets out!

Here is an interesting quote from that article, it's the same one I saw on the Vets against Kerry website that is currently down, but they had a person's name attached to the quote
"Kerry was given a Silver Star for an action on February 28, 1969:"
" When Kerry's Patrol Craft Fast 94 received a B-40 rocket shot from shore, he hot dogged his craft beaching it in the center of the enemy position. To his surprise, an enemy soldier sprang up from a hole not ten feet from Patrol Craft 94 and fled. The boat's machine gunner hit and wounded the fleeing Viet Cong as he darted behind a hootch. The twin .50s gunner fired at the Viet Cong. He said he "laid 50 rounds" into the hootch before Kerry leaped from the boat and dashed in to administer a "coup de grace" to the wounded Viet Cong. Kerry returned with the B-40 rocket and launcher.."

Kerry says that the "threat of terrorism has been overstated". There's a former smoking hole in the ground in New York that belies that statement!

I doubt it was "THE" George S. Patton of WWII, Didn't he die after a Jeep accident near the end of WWII?

I had a lot of people in my area join the Reserves to avoid the draft. They opening bragged about it to the ones that were on active duty. BUTTT their unit got activated and they beat most of the people who had enlisted to Vietnam.
I think there were some Air Guard units that were activated. Most of these guys flew F100's. There was some in Korea in 68/69 because we got to watch one crash but the pilot did get out. He was not real happy.
