God is good?...then how can you say that Our President is a liar!!!!!!!!!be careful. It is a dangerous thing to fall in the hand of an angry GOD.
GOd put our President where he is, in power to govern our country. "..For such a time like this.." We intercessor know that because we were called to stand in the gap. We prayed for ten years for a godly man like our President. "HE (GOD) shall complete that what he has started...." and GOD is not a liar. Go Pray and fast and GOD will share HIS secret with you too.
LILY in CA.

Signed up September 22, 2002, mostly a sleeper account, started again last month, with "the First Traitor" smear. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Very good post, John. It not only shows some of the stark contrasts between the two men, but your post had the added advantage of flushing a couple of bogeys out of the bushes (so to speak).

The War On Terror will end 1/20/05 if Kerry is elected and it will be back to Clintonian BS saber rattling and empty rhetoric.

Judges and the WOT. You nailed it, sir.

And I believe President Bush will be more conservative in a second term when faced with no reelection pressure.

the main differnce is that Kerry is a little taller.

You get an F for originality and an F- for content. But you seem to get along well with others.

The choice is between someone flawed and something evil.

Again, I do not think Bush the man is evil. But I do firmly believe that his policies are evil, especially his unconstitutional and wrong-headed immigration plan which will FORCE taxpayers to foot the social services bill for tens of millions more illegals, and which rewards illegal behavior and encourages sponging off the welfare state, and which is a colossal national security threat, and which encourages the corrupt Mexican govt. to continue in their corruption and suppression. And let's not even consider what an influx of 25-50 million more illegals in the next few years (which is a certainty under his plan) will do to this great country -- illegals who are loyal to Mexico and not the United States; illegals who pay no federal income tax (low incomes get a free ride in our socialist system); illegals who will bankrupt our medical system and education systems (look at California for an example); illegals who change the demographics of this nation forever and turn it into a liberal socialist state.

At this point, I am very pessimistic and believe that this country is doomed. This republic cannot survive if none of the leaders care about sovereignty and immigration laws.

He didn't and shouldn't. He did say he will appoint judges who respect the Constitution.

Agreed.

I understand your gloom and I don't want to sound unduly optimistic but keep in mind we don't know what his plan is except for a vague outline.

We do know there is a huge problem with the status quo. There are 10 million illegals (low estimate) here now. Most are probably pretty decent people but a significant number are scum or, even worse, people planning to do premediated harm to us.

Bush's plan, as I understand it, would attempt to separate those that pose a threat from those that don't.

His plan may be bad and we can kill it. Or it may have good in it that could be refined in legislative debate. But it at least recognizes the scope of the problem.

Clinton/Gore/Kerrey would put these people scum & all on the fast track to citizenship.

When I say I believe the Democratic Party to be evil I'm not exaggerating.

Of course you are pessimistic. Us conservatives, on the other hand, are filled with hope for the future.

......I will risk neither to make a point to anyone.
........

I agree.

Only an idiot would risk a democrat in office in these times. We have to remember - the democrats see nothing wrong with rigging elections.

The election last time was a nightmare because of Gore's attempts to steal the election.

I will not help them steal the next one.

.......

You surely don't believe that Bush does not care about these things.

We know Bush is a strong, strong defender of this nation. Think outside the box for a few minutes. I am not a fan of this proposal but I know how Bush operates.

The guest worker program separates those coming for actual work from those coming for other purposes. It provides investigation of their background and pins down where they are and where they work. (They are not here on their own - they are working for a company).

It allows them to bring their families - so back and forth traffic reduced. There will be an incentive to keep their jobs. They will be paying taxes - as do Americans, so the handout of benefits will probably be the same as other workers.

Those crossing without the structured framework will then be handled.

There are problems with it - serious problems. But, this is a starting point to get something done, an election year proposal that will go nowhere for at least two years.

The other problems with it can be worked out. Our current system is sure not working.
