You mentioned every one of my reasons. My 3 year old granddaughter begged us to "get me out of here" at a VeggieTales movie, because it was deafeningly loud.

The entertainment industry of LA-NY, including movies, TV and music too, is the main bulwark of the Left, targetted early on by the Communist International to degrade our population and wield a powerful propaganda tool.

It's past time to drain the swamp.

My fear is that the Passion will be a huge success, and we will be "treated" to the major studios playing "me too" with religion.

"The Greatest Action Story Ever Told." with the tag line, "He'll be back!"

Stolen from Mad TV.

Remember that terrible TV movie about the flood? What a joke.

Open Range and LOTR were wonderful movies. All the others can wait for home video release. We'll go to the theatre to see the Passion as well.

Our church bought the entire FIVE sneak preview showings of The Passion on Feb. 23 at the local megaplex. We're going to see it as a church together on Feb. 23rd, and then take all of our non-churchgoing friends to see it on Feb. 25th when it opens (Ash Wed).

I saw a 30 second trailer and was weeping by the end of it, subtitles notwithstanding. . .

I see a lot of movies at home but only see a movie at the theater 1-2 times/year. ($10/ticket is too expensive, but I'll happily fork it over to Mel Gibson. Kudos to him.)

Yes, I think the Passion will be huge!

You're missing one of the best in the last few years and some great acting. Hold your nose, do it for Clint. BTW Marcia Gay Harden turns in a great performance. Don't know her politics. You can look it up if it's important to you.

The only bright news at the box office: the decent leftovers from last year's batch. Although released in December, "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" was January's most popular movie.

Judging LoTR against the current month's drivel is lacking in perspective. This film is currently #7 in ALL TIME sales.

Hey, if the fools who back these offensive movies don't care about their money, why should we care? The more liberals who throw their money away on film filth no one wants to watch, the less money they have to give to democrats. We should be cheering the smut peddlers on...

I can't stand being lectured in a movie about how bad conservative ideals/marriage are and how good and funny and wonderful liberals/gays/ are.

I never see movies where Nazis are the bad guys, unless a war movie. Certainly not sympathetic towards Nazis, but it is amazing how white Germanic military types seem to the be the only evil people hellbent on destroying the world in secret societies, as far as liberals are concerned while any minority ethnic group never had a conspiracy of any type, oh no.

NEVER see movies where the villians are the evil industrialists, evil tobacco companies, oil, chemicals, etc while the wonderful environmentalist/ethnic attorneys/single moms save the world.

Don't like movies where liberal actors are hypocrites, waving the flag and shooting people all over the screen and then have the nerve to go out and try and take my second amendment rights away and protest against the troops.

OK, now someone suggest a movie for me to see, and I'll go see it.

Oh, I don't know, maybe people are tired of forking over $10 for a movie that begins with half an hour's worth of commercials and previews.

Actually I wish Hollywood would tailor MORE movies to the 12-13 yr. old crowd. That way there wouldn't be so many r-rated offerings (trash.....).

I like epics and I have been going to movies for 53 years. I did not read LOTR. My son got me all wired up to attend The Return of the King. To do so, I watched the first two on DVD.

I like epics and fantasy like Lawrence of Arabia and Wizard of Oz, Star Wars etc.

I don't think I have seen anything like LOFR. I think you have to take all three together since the soty is continuous and it is one of the epics of all time. I don't expect to see it bettered in my lifetime. This is the oscar year for LOTR.

I just called the local theater that will have THE PASSION, and asked when I could buy tickets. He said Wednesday, for individual tickets. I asked what he meant by individual tickets, and he said he had already sold out eight showings via group sales. That's approaching 10% of the population of this city, BTW.
