Statement by NFL Executive Vice President Joe Browne regarding the Super Bowl halftime show:
"We were extremely disappointed by elements of the MTV-produced Halftime show. They were totally inconsistent with assurances our office was given about the show. It's unlikely that MTV will produce another Super Bowl halftime."

It's a functional part of your anatomy- like your arm for example.A penis has more function than an outer ear... anyway, I don't think Timberlake took the breast out to put it to its functional use...

I thought Beyonce's rendition of the National Anthem was deplorable. Then again this is a sporting event, and any entertainer singing the National Anthem will murder it with high falsetto.

LOL. You need to get over youself buddy. What did you eat as a baby? You didn't come out of the womb eating Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. I saw no infants suckling the teet of Janet Jackson thus it was meant for sexual entertainment and not for family. Thus, you are wrong. Sure, breast are wonderful. But I dont go telling my wife to put them in my sons face like she would her arm. Plus, when you make the breast less of a sexual part of a body and equate it to an arm...then what fun is the breast after that?
You are trying to ruin it for all young men who wait will baited breath at age 17 to see a boob.

Now my daughters aren't allowed to watch sporting events. I got my daughters in bed just in time. Bastards.

So much disdain for God and your fellow man? What the hell are you talking about guy? What do you think you ate when you were an infant? Hint: your food was produced in the breast of a woman.
Do you really think that's bad? Come on!!!!

Now my daughters aren't allowed to watch sporting events. Thanks a lot CBS & NFL. Idiots. The NFL needs to crack down on the raunchy advertizing during the regular season and playoffs too. The advertizing during the Super Bowl this year wasn't so bad mainly because the rates are so high and CBS new they needed not to offend families during their biggest TV audience of the year.

I was.
Anyway, about the defecation - as TV stands now, since we can see skimpy bikinis, but not the naked boob, that is analogous to being able to see a shot of someone's shorts turning brown and lumpy, but not actually being shown the defecation - it's a distinction w/o a difference.
I think to argue that a boob should not be shown (assuming not in the context of a sexual act), one must also argue that bikinies and bras, as allowed to be seen now, also should not be shown.

We all know that the pic is on Drudge. It's been there from the get-go. But thanks for the secondary Yahoo! link.

Thus, you are wrong.I don't think so. If my wife doesn't wear her top on the beach, she's doing this for sexual entertainment? Yeah right...
Just like when I take my top off- it's for sexual entertainment. OK.
To: Prodigal Son
I believe the problem was the way they did it. Sorry, I do not want to hear about young stupid males going around ripping off females clothes as copycats.
To: All
Maybe Joe and the gang at the NFL need to spend more time in the two weeks leading up to the event managing what they put over the airways they pay for and less time finding the too-big tvs set up in public viewing areas.

anyway, I don't think Timberlake took the breast out to put it to its functional use... OK. What's worse. Timberlake's breasts or Janet's? What's worse, Janet's breast or the flag used as a poncho. What's worse, Janet's breast or a lesbian kiss on prime time? What's worse, Janet's breast or gratuitous violence?
To: Howlin
Sounds like you've raised a very centered child! Thanks! We're trying. I just may write a letter to the NFL. Several Colts live in our town and I bet they are fit to be tied. Decent folks trying to raise kids. They just happen to be millionaires.

Why do you continue to think this was appropriate halftime entertainment for family viewing on network tv? It wasn't.
To: Prodigal Son
Whats actually worse are ignorant smart-a$$es who apparently came of age during the house o'cards clinton roaring nineties and don't know any better because its all they know.

I just am amazed that anyone would have started with the premise that it WOULD be family entertainment. TV in general is a cesspool.
I do think it was a poor choice and shouldn't have happened, but MAN, everyone is a freaking prude.
